A place with a soul...
Literally one of my favorite places in Amsterdam. The cafe is very cozy and makes you feel like home. The place is good for a cup of coffee in the green garden or for a lunch or dinner with friends. The food is tasty and the music is not too loud, so you can actually have a human conversation without having to scream. The interior is amazing, with reproductions of Banksy and Rembrandt and of course the unique style of Droog. The service is very good and the guys have really taken all necessary corona measures.
And there is more to that amazing place. Droog is not only a cafe, it is a platform for events, with several conference rooms in different artistic styles. And... my favorite cherry on top is the one bedroom apartment... If you are planning to stay in Amsterdam I definitely recommend staying at Droog. You will be in the middle of Amsterdam with walking distance to all the tourist attractions. At the same time you will be able to enjoy the peace and serenity of a home. Droog is not a typical hotel, you won't have a 24 hours reception and you won't bump into other tourists. After the cafe closes (at 7pm on weekdays) you will have the place to yourself. It's an amazing experience that gives you the feeling of being one of the locals. At the same time you get to enjoy all the extra's of a hotel like a cleaning service and an amazing breakfast. The apartment itself is very spacious. It's larger than most hotel rooms and even larger than many one-bedroom apartments you will find in Amsterdam. The interior is very hip and the bathroom is amazing! The bathtub is a dream!
I would say, try, experience and...
Read moreStayed in the Droog Hotel for just one night, but am already completely in love with it! We arrived a few hours before check-in and the staff were immediately the staff incredibly friendly, and offered to store our luggage for us so we could go out and explore Amsterdam. By the time we arrived back at the hotel, they had carried all of our luggage up to the room and left us a lovely hand-written note. The suite is beautifully quirky (the manager informed us that Droog translates to "dry humor") - and has fun furniture throughout, such as a paint-swatch chair and hand towel holders that fold out of the tile! The bathroom is incredible as well, with a rain shower and a massive bath. The large and airy cafe/lobby is stunning and offers a free breakfast that comes with the room (coffee or tea, fresh orange juice, croissant with butter and jam, yoghurt with homemade granola and honey fresh fruit salad and 2 eggs your way). The rest of the building is filled with amazing and quirky furniture and clothing designs, and the beautiful garden resembles an Alice and Wonderland style and is open 24 hours to the people staying in the room. On top of all of this, it is right in the heart of Amsterdam! Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thanks to all the lovely staff for making it such a...

The first floor cafe has great views of the Groenburgwal canal and is an ideal venue for breakfast and lunch. Stairs lead to the interior garden, with an indication on each step as to how many calories have been burned. The garden has various seating areas and is full of intricately fashioned man-made plants.
The hotel is one of the world's most unique having just one bedroom. It is located on the top floor of @droog with amazing views of the city's skyline. Not surprisingly, the premises are in great demand for special events and...
