I normally don’t write reviews but uh😂I feel like have to so others can save their money and time. My experience here was okay. I loved the actors! They gave such a great performance. Now let’s get to the part that left me dissatisfied…. They tell you during the performance that you need to turn off your phone and that you shouldn’t get up. This should be told in different languages(because not everyone is fluent in English) at the beginning so people are prepared before they go in. Because when the actors say it, you literally don’t take it as serious as you should. I went with my mother and since she isn’t fluent in English(she is fluent in Dutch tho) she didn’t know that she couldn’t get up and had to stay seated. She got scared because something was touching her in the dark at the last part and 😂sat on my lap. After it was over and we were standing in line for photos the female “security guard” with the ponytail or who whoever she was(tbh I don’t really care)came in. Telling us that people were getting up and that the actors don’t have night vision. She could’ve said it in a different manner. But chose to say it in such a condescending way that it left a bad taste in my mouth. Even went so far to say that we shouldn’t come here if we don’t follow the rules. Right… and you tell us this right after we’re done. Right after we spend €26,50 on a show that honestly wasn’t amazing(the actors are crazy talented tho). If your actors don’t have night vision provide them with glasses/masks that give them that. TELL PEOPLE THE RULES IMMEDIATELY AND DO NOT LEAVE THEM CLUELESS OF WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN. YOU CAN DO THIS WITHOUT SPOILING IT. And please tell the staff with bad attitudes that this is the type of behavior that will make them lose costumers. 😂I wanted to check the pictures out but once miss thing came in hahaha I wasn’t willing to spend another cent in that place. I honestly do not regret going because wow 😂I definitely know where hell I won’t go anymore. Also the way they let employees in the souvenir shop beg people to give good reviews 😭Is crazy. Once they know your experience wasn’t the best the employee will immediately 😂stop talking to you and look for people who are satisfied. Makes me wonder wether the good reviews are actually genuine(no shade to the actors because I truly loved them and also some of the employees). The only thing that actually was scary to me at the end was the way you get treated the moment you leave the dungeon. You are not useful anymore because you spend your money and now you get treated like trash. “Miss thing” should’ve given us that attitude from the get go. It’s that I’m not into confrontation and drama that I didn’t respond to what she was saying. It truly ruined the experience for me. They showed us that it’s truly all about...

Let me be absolutely clear: the Amsterdam Dungeon itself is an incredible, immersive, and brilliantly executed attraction. It's a must-do, a truly unique and thrilling journey through history that will leave you both entertained and genuinely impressed. The actors, the sets, the atmosphere – every single element inside is top-notch and deserves all the praise in the world. It was shaping up to be an unforgettable highlight of our trip. However, all that brilliance, all that effort, was mercilessly dragged down and tainted by one truly dreadful encounter at the sales desk. I am talking about Amos. I have never, in all my years of customer service interactions, encountered someone so profoundly rude, so utterly condescending, and so breathtakingly ignorant. From the moment we approached, Amos exuded an air of disdain. His tone was dismissive, his answers clipped and unhelpful, and his entire demeanor screamed that he found our presence an inconvenience. He spoke to us as if we were imbeciles, with a patronizing smirk that made my blood boil. It was not just a bad day for him; it felt like a fundamental lack of respect for paying customers. This man, Amos, single-handedly managed to inject a sour, bitter taste into what should have been an exhilarating experience. You spend your money, you look forward to something special, and then you are met with such an appalling display of unprofessionalism right at the very first point of contact. It is beyond disappointing; it is infuriating. The Dungeon management needs to understand this: you have a phenomenal product, but if you keep staff like Amos at the front line, he will actively deter people. He will ruin the first impression, and he will leave visitors with a lasting negative memory that has nothing to do with the fantastic show inside. Someone with his attitude has absolutely no place in a customer-facing role. He is a detriment to your business and a blight on what is otherwise a truly brilliant attraction. Get rid of him, or he will continue to ruin the experience for...

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences my husband and I have ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend the Amsterdam Dungeon to anyone!
During our visit, we entered a dark room as part of the experience. My husband briefly joked, thinking one of the performers was a puppet due to the setup and lighting, and without even touching her, he immediately apologized sincerely when he realized she was a real person. Instead of accepting the clear and respectful apology, the performer became unnecessarily confrontational and called over three more staff members, escalating a completely harmless and innocent misunderstanding into an aggressive and humiliating situation.
To make things even more upsetting, other guests in the group also confirmed that my husband never came close to touching her. Yet the staff ignored these voices of reason and treated us as if we had done something inappropriate which could not have been further from the truth.
I raised my voice, not in anger, but in disbelief. How could anyone suggest my husband was being inappropriate, especially right in front of his wife, based on a clear mistake that was apologized for multiple times?
The staff showed no interest in resolving the situation with basic human understanding or professionalism. Instead, they made us feel ashamed and deeply uncomfortable. We left the attraction feeling completely disrespected, and our entire visit to Amsterdam was soured by this experience.
I understand that staff are trained to be vigilant, but there is a big difference between safety and overreaction. This was handled in the worst possible way.
If you’re looking for a fun, respectful experience in Amsterdam, look elsewhere!! Seriously! There are so many better ways to spend your money and time in this...
