If you're looking for a photo of a beautiful sandwich cross section for your Instagram story, look no further than this place. But if you're looking for a real bagel (not "real" in terms of quality or even regional authenticity, but merely "real" in terms of the very low bar of "does this meet the technical definition of what bagel is?"), you won't find it here. I'm not one of those east coast bagel purists that's going to tell you that it's impossible to make a good bagel unless it's been steamed with New York City's water supply. There are decent bagels to be found everywhere (including a few other places in Amsterdam nowadays), but you need to stick with the basic principle: you can't just bake some airy bread in the shape of a ring and call it a bagel. It needs to be dense. It needs to be chewy. It needs to be a bagel. Bagelboy offers sandwiches served on an airy baked bread in the shape of a ring. The sandwiches taste good. The quality of the filling ingredients is well above average. You'll probably be satisfied eating one of these sandwiches. They will want you to think you've just eaten a bagel sandwich. But you haven't. For further context: I've been here twice now. The first time, I had a bacon egg & cheese sandwich and enjoyed it but I could tell that the fillings were distracting me from what was off about the bagel itself. The second time, I had a plain bagel with a side of chive cream cheese and it confirmed my suspicions. Again, it all tastes fine. But just don't call them bagels.

I wish I could have given this a higher rating. I was craving a Bagel and this was on the road I was walking so there was no way I was walking past. This is where the issues began. Waiting outside in the queue I was ok with as it must be popular. Only to find the reason for the long queue was because of the length of time it took for people to get their bagels and coffee. From joining the line at 11:30 it was around 12:15 before I had the bagel in hand, then I had to wait for the coffee... I know Uber eats caused a slow down as you can clearly see them making tonnes of bagels but not for the customers in the queue. This is good for them as a business which is great but not good at all for the public waiting in the queue. Upon getting the food it was well presented and was clearly made from a good source of produce and it tasted nice. ( Not a 45 minute wait nice ) But nice. I probably wouldn't go back only due to the sheer waiting times but I would definitely order it from Uber eats. All the best moving forward guys

This place actually really surprised me!!! I got the BEC with chili oil on a sesame bagel and the avocado, cream cheese & tomato on an everything bagel!!! The avocado, cream cheese actually blew me away and I would 100% get it again, I know it’s something I will crave. Historically I have not been a fan of everything seasoning (which surprised me) but the lovely staff recommended it and I said I would give it a go!!! I don’t know what crack they are putting on the bagel but it was absolutely scrumptious! SO DELISH! They also weren’t skimpy with the cream cheese or avocado which is how I like it!!! Bacon, egg & cheese isn’t my go-to flavour ever but I wanted to try it and it was yummy, but not my usual preference. If it is yours I think you would find it perfectly delicious! The staff were lovely and on a really good vibe which was a lovely addition!!!...
