I recently dined at De Japanner restaurant in Amsterdam and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was modern, with a focus on popular Japanese culture. The menu was extensive and offered a variety of authentic dishes, all of which were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The sushi was especially fresh and flavorful, and the sashimi was light and delicious. Best Asian fusion place I've been in a while in this city, non pretentious and these guys actually know what they are doing. We were surprised with the chefs menu, and this was far from disappointing. Approx. 10 small dishes for 2 persons, very flavourful, accompanied with nice beers and sake, absolute good value for money.

We arrived early and managed to grab two seats, the place was packed in no time. Very helpful and knowledgable staff. They actually had fun in serving their customers. Amsterdam is famous about their poor service, this place is not one of them. Will come again for sure, highly recommended!
