One of the best bars in the area. The people there are awesome and super chill. You can walk up to anyone and talk, if anything, about the incredible amount of beers in that place. If you're going alone you can sit at the bar, that way people will actually come up to you to strike a conversation and if anything the bartender will be there as he was really awesome to talk to. He knows his beers super well (apparently has taken courses into the history of the beers and tried all of them, which is crazy to me). The place isn't super packed during the weekdays which is great. You can occasionally see people playing board games while having a beer. They have a small collection there. If you are going, make sure to order the taste test. The bartender lets you try four beers of your choice instead of giving you a full glass of one. Great if you're new to beers like me 👍 He recommended some banger ones.

Best beer bar I found in Amsterdam. Super knowledgeable staff. Awesome beer from around the world. Reasonable prices. I will be back here the next time I come to Amsterdam. The reviews that say you get half foam in the beer, yes, that is how it is intended to be served and beer glasses come with a line for the proper pour, 1/3L 1/2L etc, so you are not being skimped for beer. If you get these beautiful beers without some head on them the bar is doing you a disservice.

Latest addition to the Gollem empire, catering more for the modern craft beer generation, has a very good and large selection on offer, both bottle and tap. Knowledgeable staff will guide you through the vast choice of styles and flavours on offer. Well worth a visit. Personally I still prefer the original Gollem with its quirky layout and huge beer selection but times and customers change and bars have to change to reflect that.

Despite being so easily accessible from the incredibly tourism focuses Rembrandtplein, this bar manages to be a real hidden gem. Gollem runs a few bars spread across Amsterdam and focuses on craft beer.

The Amstelstraat location is very good. It's only small but it has an incredibly expansive beer menu, with a huge selection of bottles pride of place behind the bar. They also have a healthy selection of beers on tap. The bartender was very friendly, and happy to give recommendations.

They accept Visa/Mastercard as well as cash and local cards. It's a small place so order at the bar, but you can pay at the end. They also have a tiny pile of board games.

Awesome place for craft beer lovers. Plenty of styles and countries are represented, with a good selection of Dutch craft as well....

beer from 23 local breweries, the bartenders are nice, active and friendly. Immediately upon shaking hands, they asked what kind of beer the customer likes, and based on that, the bartender started suggesting a selection. The beers were fresh and that was really noticeable in the taste. There were plenty of options for alcohol content between 3.3-9%.

Their cheeseplatter was excellent and worked nicely with the new england pale ales I had.

At the end, I forgot a pack of cigarettes in the bar and the waiter ran after me to bring it. The service was exceptionally good for the entire visit and apparently...
