Casa Nostra — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We had a reservation for 3 ppl at 20:00. We’ve got a table at 20:55. Unacceptable, especially because for reserving it’s required 10€ deposit each person and you lose them in case of no show. After 55 min sitting on wood bench with the staff passing frequently with dishes and everything (really narrow passage) we can’t even leave and go somewhere else because of the deposit. The staff was completely out of control of the restaurant. We order a starter to share and some drinks, which arrived (after we asked for them 2-3 times) when the starters was almost gone. Same for the Menu, we had to ask also for them kinda 3 times. I’ve got replied “Sorry we are busy”. But where is my fault in that? During the dinner the restaurant has got 3 blackout leaving the dining room without electricity. Simple italian food, which i like, basic, 3 dishes on the menu. The waiter said it’s because they change it every week, unluckily i came also a couple months ago and it was the same. We can’t order coffee at the end because due the blackout they couldn’t plug the coffeemachine. I invited the 2 ppl that where with me taking care of the reservation. Both said to me “Never Again”. I agree with them, i won’t be back anymore. We paid 38€ each which is okay but if you keep going like that i don’t know how long...

I am not usually one to give such harsh or bad reviews, but this restaurant was beyond disappointing. We had a reservation for a small group of people to celebrate a birthday (note: we had to pay a deposit in order to reserve). Once arriving at our reserved time, we were told in a disrespectful manner, that our table was not yet ready and so we had to wait. No chance of going somewhere else because of the relatively high deposit we paid. After 30 (!!) minutes of waiting in the cold (despite a confirmed reservation), we were let in by a rude waiter who didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. After finally arriving at the table, nobody cared to bring us a menu or serve us water/bread/cutlery or anything really. After having to beg for the menu and being able to order, we were delivered small portioned but decent food which luckily was at least worth the wait. However we have asked for a small birthday desert to surprise the birthday boy, which we thought could maybe be on the house (note the disrespectful and ignorant behavior beforehand), yet this was still charged additionally on the menu. This restaurant was very disappointing. They don't put the menu on the website so I didn't know what to expect. I am Italian, I come from Puglia, and they claim to do pugliese cuisine here. I was looking forward to this. As a glutenfree client, I had no options when it comes to pizza/pasta/bread. Nothing . Only steak. Beef, which is not even traditional for this kind of cuisine. No fish, no lamb, just a steak that I could have eaten at any argentinian touristy place in town. So I ended up with a plate of prosciutto and mozzarella. No other kind of cheese, just 3 pieces of prosciutto , 1 small mozzarella, a small portion of zucchine and 1 , yes 1 cherry tomato. That's all I ate. My friends went with the pasta, it looked good, but the portions were very small, everybody was stuffing themselves with bread and oil, they were still hungry. The bill was quite high: my small plate came down to 16 euro, pasta 20 euro and the steak 30 euro. Overall, only thing that was good was the service. But this place has no menu you can look at before,obviously they don't care for people with allergy and it's ridiculously expensive. I would not repeat the experience neither I recommend it to...
