Tucked away in Amsterdam's Oud-Zuid district, Coffeeshop Ibiza is a local favorite known for its top-quality weed, chill atmosphere, and friendly service. While it's a bit outside the tourist-heavy center, that’s exactly what makes it special — a relaxed, authentic vibe that feels more like a neighborhood hangout than a commercial spot.
The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a clean, stylish interior. The name Ibiza fits well — there’s a laid-back, island-like atmosphere that invites you to slow down, unwind, and enjoy.
But what really sets Coffeeshop Ibiza apart is the weed. Their menu is well-curated, with a strong selection of high-grade strains, including classics like Amnesia Haze, OG Kush, and more exotic hybrids. Everything is fresh, well-presented, and competitively priced. The knowledgeable staff are happy to offer guidance, whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned smoker looking for something special.
They also offer top-quality hash, pre-rolls, and edibles, and the hygiene standards are noticeably high — which isn’t always the case everywhere. Whether you’re smoking on-site or taking away, you’ll feel like you’ve been well taken care of.
If you're looking for a chill, clean, and cannabis-focused experience in Amsterdam — without the chaos of the Red Light District — Coffeeshop Ibiza is worth the detour. Great weed, good vibes, and a touch of that island spirit, right...
Read moreI came here to try some weed while in Amsterdam (it's legal there), I already tried it before. In this place, you can buy weed or pre-rolled joints with either a mix of weed and tobacco or pure weed. I tried a pre-rolled joint of pure hashish but, since I didn't inhale deeply (I am not a smoker), this time I felt almost nothing but it was mainly my fault. The personnel is nice and available, the place is clean and the atmosphere is one of the best in Amsterdam, probably! If you don't have a lighter, you can ask to the bartender. I don't remember if they also sell space cakes. They don't sell alcohol in coffeeshops since it's prohibited by law, but people may bring it from another place. Only adults are allowed to enter in coffeeshops and, if need be, the bartender may ask you for an identity document to prove you are at least...
Read morePretty sure that most of the 5 star reviews are paid for. Notice that majority only have a single review and it's this place? Unlikely.
Came in around lunchtime and no lights where on. Generally the place seemed quite run down.
The guy behind the counter seemed quite rude and frustrated. The actual coffee was sadly poured down a drain due to the taste and we were confined to taking our coffees away because half of the place was locked/shut. We certainly weren't offered a seat in the larger area with the cat in the window.
Maybe Covid caused this stress and disappointment?
It's cash only also so we had to walk 20 minutes to an ATM to come back just to pay...
