Writing this comment after seeing the reply of the owner. The audacity and rudeness just strikes me.
First of all, my wife wanted just a tea (not coffee), and nothing else, to which we were told it wasn’t possible. Ok, fine, we ordered some pizza which was objectively not great: half cooked dough with very plain tomato sauce.
I brought that to the attention of the waitress, to which she replied pretentiously that we shouldn’t compare it to dominos, which I only tried a few times in my life. For me, pizza we got ranks somewhere in the bottom 20 percent, with most of the pizza I ate was during my years of living in Italy :) Good ingredients you mention do not guarantee good result.
Dear waitress, what’s the point of asking if I liked it or not if you can only handle good answers?
Also no, Russia is definitely not the home country of pizza, which is why I expect that an Italian restaurant can cook it better, but alas. Also, even homeless people there are not as rude as the comment below. The place I’m born does not deprive me of giving my opinion on the food.
Instead of apologizing for bad experience, as a good manager should, you attack me personally, saying I shouldn’t be let to McDonald’s or questioning what my house looks like. I will not give my opinion on that, I will let the reader make up their own.
The owner did ask where I was from, to which I replied directly, but I felt that was unnecessary. So I asked why it mattered. I’m sorry if that offended you, I did not mean that.
But overall, absolutely worst attitude by the manager who can’t handle an unhappy customer. Not sure where the 4.8 stars come from. If it was the food alone, I’d give it 2 or 3, but the smooth brain manager who they should replace, makes...
Read moreIt’s interesting, I was checking the owner reply to the negative reviews on this google map page then it exactly was the tone the owner talked to me. It’s the same owner I can feel. If you say anything bad about them, they be like “go eat somewhere else”. Same rude vibe, same rude vibe. Ok my story was, as a tenant of the building I walked through the place where they didn’t have a fence before, in their closing time, just as how I walked back to my home since I started living in our domain. We walk through there everyday, not only me. They put some new vases there, I walk besides the vases carefully without touching the plant. then the owner start to use very rude gestures to let me know this is not the route. I was a bit pissed but wanna go back to ask what’s going on. I said sorry for walking through the “fence” (as several vases) and I make it clear that if I knew I wouldn’t walk from there. However the owner can’t stop saying all the rude words to me. Hey, I also work in horeca, I know a lot of frustrations came because of people are “stupid” that can’t understand your intention. But usually that means your instruction is not clear. Instead of being rude to all the customers who don’t know it’s a “fence”, you better put a real fence or a sign to tell people that is not a way as it used to be. Food is good I can’t lie, order their pizza to go almost every week. Not anymore. But they don’t care, I know. Same “go eat...
Read moreAte here recently with a group of friends. This was the 2nd time we came to this place. But I’m not sure what’s going on with this place. The owner seems to have a very bad temper and her mood swings easily. Our recent visit had really poor service, many of us felt her temper, although the last time was good. It’s a shame because it feels unpredictable how you’ll be treated here, depending entirely on the owner’s mood.
The food is just okay. As someone from Italy, I think the food should be much better to make up for the inconsistent service. Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth putting up with this kind of service unless the food is truly exceptional, which it isn’t in this case. And honestly, you can find food of this quality in many other places in Amsterdam as well.
This location is really not ideal. After reading some other reviews and a ton of fake 5 star reviews with no real context… I genuinely don’t understand why the owner feels entitled to treat customers based on her mood. The place is tucked away in an inconvenient area where mostly students or people living nearby might visit. With this kind of unpredictable attitude, does she really think young people or students will keep...
