Worst customer experience ever! He gave us uncooked food and foul panner. I had food poisoning later because of this. Rather than giving a bad review, I felt it would be better I call them and explain it directly. When mentioned over a call, he asked us to return the food and said that we can order anyday for the same price again and promised that he’ll deliver the food for free as a compensation . We called back after 4 weeks and he said he’ll not give any food or compensation.
Worst Indian restaurant in Netherlands so far! Do not recommend it at all.
P.S. I just noticed that the restaurant has replies to my comment. So here goes to the owner.
I do not have to instigate anyone to comment on your service, and have no need need to do that . Your service speaks for itself and I am not surprised that you received more criticism after I commented. Not sure how many more you have disappointed. You cannot silence the customer with your THREATS!
You took our money, asked us to return the whole food, (close to €100 worth) and did not neither refund us or stood upon your promise to deliver us the order back. If you go through your previous customer experience history, it is no surprise that you have a habit of bullying your customer who question you either on your quantity or behaviour. This is a public platform and we all (customers) have right to share our opinion, though the truth might be bitter.
I have added a picture of the panner pakora that you’ve sent us when we’ve placed the initial order. I’ll leave the rest upto your...
Read moreI have been visiting Haweli for the last 2 years, and I make sure that every time I am in Amsterdam I visit for dinner.
Being an Indian in Netherland I tried a lot of the restaurant near Amsterdam Central and other places who claims to provide authentic Indian cuisine but was not so satisfied, but finally my search for amazing Indian food ended at Haweli in Jan'14. Since then I have been a regular visiter.
Though the place is not in the Central and therefore people may end up searching some place in Central which I did as well. But this place is worth visiting which is easily accessible by Tram no. 17 from Central with just 20 mins drive.
The staffs are super humble and courteous, the place has a nice ambience and the most important the food, I would say is much better than some of the restaurant I have tried in India.
The best part is that the cook is from Punjab province of India, which is famous for the best cooks. If you visit India and want to try some Indian dish in any nice restaurant you will definitely end up with a restaurant having a Punjabi cook, so that says it all...
Read moreSummarised: Authentic Indian food, the taste is quite close to what you would find in an Indian restaurant when dining in Delhi or Haryana, Punjab or Himachal. The decor is a bit dated and underwhelming, so please do not use that to judge the food.
Detailed: The menu is quite comprehensive with adequate vegetarian and non vegetarian options (not sure of vegan). The service is quite prompt and the attendant helpful in recommending options based on your palette.
We ordered a usual north Indian ensemble as we would back in India and we weren't disappointed, the food was paced adequately and was almost as close to what you would get in a North Indian restaurant in North India!
The restaurant ambience is quite understated and dull and was in the middle of a renovation when we visited, hence for now i would recommend ordering a take out instead of visiting it directly.
Definitely a must for Indian food lovers!
Location - On the main street, can be easily spotted as is comparatively brightly lit during the evenings, during the day you need to look out...
