I came here during my first day at Amsterdam, I had already eaten Japanese three times in the past but this was one of the nearest restaurants to my hotel (it was very late and I was really tired from the travel). I ordered a seaweed tempura with some sauce (I think it was mayonnaise, then I poured some spicy sauce), a small and gummy dessert made of ice cream and fruit and then some skewered chicken meat with a slice of orange and sesame seeds. I had to wait a bit for the food but it was worth it since, as usual, Japanese food is great and, if it's well-cooked, then it's super tasty! The only thing I disliked a bit is tempura, it's mainly deep-fried batter, but probably it's just personal taste. The place was rather clean, the personnel was nice and available and the atmosphere was beautiful, the place is full of Japanese items such as small statues. You can pay with card. Five stars without thinking too much

I am from Los Angeles and we have our own Japan town and I visited both Korea and Japan and had some of the best sushi ever in Japan and in Korea and in Los Angeles. I am quite surprised by the quality of food the sushi the sashimi the grilled chicken grilled mushroom the tempura. I've been in your for almost 2 weeks and I would say the lunch I had here or rather the early dinner I had in this restaurant was probably one of the best meal I've had in Europe. Service was excellent The people at the restaurant so courteous and so helpful. If you're an Amsterdam please go to Otaru. I'm not much of a photographer but I will attach some pictures of some of the food that I had but I would say the food taste much better than what you see on the pictures. The next time I am in Amsterdam I am definitely coming back to Otaru.

We came back here because we really loved their barbecue (yakiniku) last time. But we got assigned a tabled without a ventilation system. To be fair we didnt mention we wanted it beforehand in our short telephone conversation Then we asked for the bbq (yakiniku) menu but we couldn't because our seat didnt have the ventilation system. But in every ventilation table there was not a single person eating that used the barbecue option. (Which were at least 7...). So that felt a bit weirdly assigned with so many non ventilation tables free. Premade bbq meat was chewy sadly... Still 4 stars because previous experience at bbq spot was worth at least 4.

I really liked coming here and would do so often about 4 years ago. The atmosphere was good, lots of option on the menu and decorations were cute but now it seems the service has changed for the worse or I was unlucky enough to have a strange waiter maybe. The restaurant was empty when we dined as I made a reservation right when they opened at 3pm. The waiter refused to take our drink order and told us to write a number down on a piece of paper from the menu as well as the food. It was fine for the food but there was no numbers for drinks so I literally had to write “water” or “tea” for him instead of just saying it. This was a bit lazy of him I thought. When the waiter brought the food we had similar dishes like vegetarian udon or meat udon. I asked which one he brought and he would only shout the number of every dish at me instead of clarifying the name of the dish. I am not sure if he thinks customers just memorize the numbers of every food they label on the menu but I thought this strange behavior really lowered the quality of our experience even though thinking about the waiters logic makes this memory quite humorous. I think I will still come back but hopefully have a different waiter and the nice service I was used to a...

DONT GO HERE TO EAT A MEAL!! Absolutely the worst dining experience my wife and I had while we visited Amsterdam. The sushi was old and smelled fishy!!!, when we complained the waiter said she was sorry but we could not return it to the kitchen. We were told to eat old sushi or nothing. The drinks were watered down and we wondered if they even put alcohol in our drinks. It was awful!!! Then to top off a bad dining experience we had our umbrella stolen from the rack outside the door where the owner made us leave it when we arrived in the rain. When we complained that our umbrella was stolen, the owner denied that we had an umbrella when we arrived or that she told us to leave it by the door. When we said she was lying, she threatened to call the police on us if did not immediately leave the restaurant. My wife and I had to leave in the rain without an umbrella. I personally believe the owner or an employee stole it to keep for themselves (a scam). If you do visit this restaurant keep your personal belonging with you and pay by cash not...
