Definition of a TikTok FAD stay far away a lot of far better brunch spots in Amsterdam.

the wait be expected to wait for a long time we were a two person party and had quiet a long wait. WHICH I would have no problem doing if the food was edible. Another issue I had please close up your outside area if your not going to provide sufficient heating to your costumers. It’s absolutely disgraceful and ruined the whole ambience and vibe. If your running a supposed sussceful business why put some of that money back into business and not let your costumers freeze to death.

To note I come from a cold country and have eaten outside before but with good heating it is no problem.

Service felt rushed and all over the place seemed like only 2-3 waiters serving 40-60 plus costumers outside and inside at one time. Which only increased the wait times. The main host and girl with the black hair and pony tail came off a bit cold at times.

FOOOD. Where do I start the fries were okay the cake was cake. Friend got a chai latte wasn’t one of the best just okay. This all would have been sufficient enough haven’t I had to wait 20+ minute for fries and my friend 40+ minutes for her DRY Chicken avocado on STALE bread. This is due to the fact that main host had forgot to put her order for the chicken avocado into the system. When we asked the other waitress with the pony tail about the wait for her food she explained the situation but we never received a proper apology.

All in all this place needs some serious change to their system and to possibly stop selling stale bread with dry chicken.

We ( me, my boyfriend and a friend) stumbled upon the place unexpectedly on Friday, 5/1, amidst heavy rain. Despite the crowded setting, we patiently waited outside for about 20 minutes ( seated ).. The staff seemed friendly but a bit ( a lot )fake.🥲Although the boys opted for burgers despite the early hour, and I chose eggs, the food was only satisfactory, falling short of justifying the €16.5 price tag (excluding fries for the burger). My eggs, however, were enjoyable. The coffee, especially mine with oat milk, was a delightful highlight. Our order arrived at 11:10 (verified by a photo), and at 11:48, just as we were finishing our meal, we were asked if we wanted anything else. We ordered sparkling water, but after 5 minutes, the waitress said they had a reservation in 10 minutes, making us feel rushed. 👉🏻We paid €70 but couldn't stay at least for an hour. 👈🏻😅😅😅It felt like they cared more about money than customers. We own a restaurant and treat everyone well, regardless of spending. The excuse seemed dubious, as she could have mentioned the time constraint earlier and not asking us to order more, we didn’t even have the time to drink one glass of the bottle. This experience, unlike any other in Amsterdam, left us disheartened, viewing the establishment as prioritizing profit over customers. I hope this feedback reaches the manager. 🙏🏻The neutral decor -nothing special-also contributes to our 2-star rating, with the only saving grace being the excellent coffee and...

Nothing special, just crazy expensive and a rude waiter with a beard. We got there and were seated inside in a corner. Suddenly we found out that one of us has to move every 1 min because there is a small opening to kitchen right above the chair where we were seated and the waiters were to bring dishes there and take prepared food from there too. On out protest we were told that we can order and by the time the food will arrive we will seat you outside. The moment the food arrived and we started the first bites the fast talking loud woman came in to us and said oh we tried and this and that. She knew that obviously we will not move middle of the meal. There were plenty of tables empty outside. It really is not a big deal, however, one feels cheated and played by this attitude. We were laughing that the restaurant is called Locals so if you are a tourist you will be treated like this anyways.

5 mains, 4 coffees, 2 orange juices = 97 Euros.

And it's nothing special that other places do not deliver in the same or better quality and they may give you some respect too as their customer.

Such restaurants that are super expensive and rude and play tricks with their customers are always very short lived. If you are a loaded local with lots of money, keep going. Tourists better stay away.
