Cute place, nice staff, but what I’m noticing about Amsterdam is service is kinda sucky. We took time debating what pizzas to get (one pizza del giorno special and one piccante adding olives, no meat) and also decided to get an appetizer (burrata) for the table. Burrata really took a long time to come out, but fine it was really yummy and we had wine everything fine. Then (another 30mins later) the pizzas arrive and were so hungry that we dig right in. Only to realize after the first few bites that these were not the pizzas we ordered. One was supposed to be the pizza del giorno (beef carpaccio pizza with arugula) which was announced when the runner brought it but we saw had no meat? And the other was just a simple margherita. When we brought the server over he said he was sorry and recognized they were wrong but in order to correct HIS mistake, he would have to take the pizzas back.... we were starving and had already started.. what’s the point to take them back especially if your going to throw it? Of course they are lucky the food is delicious but this is a bad service quality and made the evening less enjoyable. Our server thought to make up for it with shot of lemoncello, but the damage was done unfortunately. 3 star for great food, not great policies, careless...
Read moreVery cozy place with delicious pizza in a very lively neighborhood. We liked it more than in Nnea pizzeria.
We ordered: Tartufo - it was super delicious. The combination of their parma, trufflesauce and mozarella tasted great. Can recommend. Boscaiola - was good, but I was lacking some sort of a sauce there. The ingridients were fine, but I had a feeling that I was eating a hot sandwich, no pizza. it's popular to make a sauce based on mashed potatoes for white pizzas so maybe it worth to try. So the pizza was good, but I won't order it again due to a lack of sauce. To sum I'll definitely return to this place to try the other pizzas they have. Staff is very welcome there :)
Prices are average for Amsterdam. 13-16 Euros for pizza. What I consider a little bit too much. Price range of 10-13 euros would be the most optional, but it's Amsterdam and the business costs...
Read moreA small pizza restaurant that is likely going to be full when you arrive but after a wait you can get most likely a spot. This is convenient for you as a new guest but once you have eaten your pizza you're somewhat supposed to leave quite quickly. The pizza is nice, good ingredients, it could use a bit of ump though to make it a spectacular pizza. The sweets are definitely sweet, can't argue with that. A disappointment for those who like a good beer next to their pizza, this place insists so much on having only Italian beer on the menu. Italian food and wine are consumed all over the world but there is definitely a reason why this didn't happen with Italian beer. There are good wines in the menu but per bottle. The pizza doesn't make up for the lack of experience here, take away I would...
