Hendrix — Restaurant in Amsterdam

A friend and me decided to have finally a good drink at a nive bar. Hendrix, sounds like a good place to bar to enjoy ourselfs. Started with a special beer we turned over to normal beee cause of the expensice. After enjoying some beers and bitterbals we wanted to pay. As hounest people we loves to. Seeing the bill we notices that they charged us much more than we had. At the start four more special beers around 5 euros. They agreed whit the payment back. After that we realized the charged us even two more. Everybody makes mistakes and thats okay. But they allready saw us and had the money ready to give back with a smile and a joke like they already knew. That given, gives us more than a feeling that they aware that they try to rip us off... soo... if you go here, always be aware of the fact that the really like tip. In a honest way or a greedy way like in...

The place looks great and has a nice vibe, but the staff really shows no hospitality. First they gave me a wrong tap beer. They only gave me the right one after I had to convince them that they’d made a mistake, although the beer was clearly not a white beer as I ordered. There was no apology. Last round was called at around 00:30. We got our drinks around 00:55 and we were told to leave at 01:05, as they ‘should’ve closed up 5 minutes ago’. They also turned off the music, but about 15 people in the cafe had only just received their last drinks. When I made a comment on this, the girl told us that she could just kick us out. She also accidentally tried to make my friend pay 40 euros instead of 17 euros, and did not apologize for the mistake. So yeah if you go here, don’t waist your money on the final round and double check the bill...

When I arrived, I ordered a red wine, and they spontaneously served me the cheapest wine on their menu. That's nice, as they didn't mention they had different types (and prices) of red wine. Later in the evening, when I was a bit tipsy, I ordered twice again some red wine, and with no notification, they then 'conveniently' served me the most expensive red wine. When we left, they also charged a friend of mine twice (83,-€ overcharge...). She had to run to the venue the next day. Not to mention the two sparkling waters that landed on our table during the evening without anyone having ordered them, but which were still charged. Poor...
