I've just finished eating one of their panzerotti and a piece of focaccia barese. OMG!!!! I feel back in Italy, when after school we would go to the rosticceria with my mates. Perfect! I am so happy such a place finally opened in Amsterdam and I am very lucky to have it only 50 meters away. They also have an incredible, well made choice of Italian products, ranging from oil, to rice. In the coming days I will explore more of their menu. I definitely wanna try the crocchette di patate and their arancina and have the focaccia filled. I saw they also the pasticciotti, which are incredible pastries filled with cream :P. Very friendly service and kind people behind the counter and in the kitchen. Wish them the best and if you want to have some delicious real Italian snacks, pay a visit. I promise it will be worth it. Thanks guys for bringing these delicious food...
Read moreWe had one of the deep fried ball of pasta (sorry, I forgot the name of the dish) and one of the rice ones and a focaccia with tomato, mozzarella and rucola (with the rucola taken off of one of them after I requested that). You can also sit inside and they have two benches outside. And the staff spoke Italian with each other and a couple of customers were clearly regulars. They also sell some wines and (gluten free) pasta for at home. (Though none of the food sold to eat there is gluten free, and you have to read the menu properly to know what is vegitarian because not all the vegetarian dishes show the...
Read moreI’m confused at why the ratings are so high, the food did not live up to the ratings, sadly. Ordered 3 sandwiches and was extremely overwhelmed and even shocked at the high prices. Bread to filling ratio was off and filling was not evenly distributed across the bread, foccacia tasted stale (1-2 days old) - was too hard and chewy and tough to bite through, cured meats were not thinly sliced - we had huge chunks of fat that we couldn’t chew through, and any sandwich with pesto overpowered every other flavor. With a lot of work this shop has potential to improve but this was so disappointing. There are too many great Italian delicacies and focaccia bakeries in Amsterdam with better quality ingredients, taste, and better prices than to...
