I came back. And everything I said originally was absolutely not a dream. Pure reality. The team here is outstanding.

Oh. My. God. This place is everything. I’m not saying they serve the best food and cocktails on the planet, but if aliens ever land, I’m dragging them here so they can understand why humanity is worth saving.

Let’s talk about the drinks. They don’t just make cocktails—they create experiences. I told the bartender, “I’m feeling spicy, but like, emotionally stable,” and BOOM. A custom cocktail appeared that tasted like a jalapeño kissed by an angel and then dipped in happiness. The drinks here don’t just get you tipsy—they tell a story, heal your soul, and probably pay your therapy bill.

And the food? Forget “epic”; it was life-changing. I took one bite and immediately re-evaluated my life choices. Who knew a plate of ribs could unlock all my chakras? I’m pretty sure I cried. I was nodding so much while eating that the server asked if I needed water—or a neck brace.

But wait, there’s more. The staff danced. Yes, danced. I don’t know if it’s part of the job or if they’re just that happy to work here, but suddenly they were grooving to the music, and I swear my cocktail winked at me.

By the end of the night, I didn’t know if I was drunk, in love, or both. All I know is I’ll be back—probably tomorrow. This place didn’t just set the bar; it became the bar.

Five stars isn’t enough. Can I give them a galaxy? Thank you to Gil, Boris, and Anna for...

There are bars that are great to savour, and there are bars that are great to be in. Sins of Sal was both.

I got this recommendation from Italian bartenders in Berlin—you can trust Italian advice when it comes to food. I arrived in the early hours and sat at the bar. Everything felt so right and on point that, instead of choosing from the list, I trusted them and said I was up for three drinks and food. It couldn't have gone better.

Numero uno was the experience. The crew's sincere and fun engagement never stopped: advice, jokes, explanations, recommendations, small treats, you name it. You can't hide it when you don't give a shit; these guys for sure give a hefty one.

The food was outstanding: creative, fulfilling, perfectly appropriate, and delicious. Veal tongue tacos—very few tongues can compare. The cocktails are a level 100 alchemy: they taste like angel's milk, look confident and clean. Every ingredient is well thought out and balanced. The presentation is bright and apt. Try the Old Fashioned.

Thank you, guys. That time felt like it didn't count against the...

In my humble opinion, the single best place to be in Amsterdam. Everything is perfect here, we eat here at least once every month if we can help it. We take all our international friends and the friends who love food as much as we do. Martin and the other incredible people who work there are all perfect hosts and I haven’t even started talking about the food and the cocktails. The cocktails are works of art, which get the same passionate description as art from the mixologists. Highly unique combinations, refreshing new ideas and perfectly balanced. We tried them all and every new addition and our favourite is without a doubt the Paloma but all of the others are pretty much on the same top pedestal. The food is the most accurate representation of the concept, indulgence. We once ordered one dish 5 times on one night because it was just that addicting (the Tuna taco’s) and the ever evolving menu leaves you wanting more and more. Writing this made me make a reservation right away. Can’t wait to go again.

(As you can see, the pictures are all taken on multiple...

In the twilight of my Amsterdam workcation, amidst the maze of mainstream eateries—overflowing with predictable pizzas, imitation Asian fares, and dime-a-dozen Argentinian steaks—I sought a culinary twist. My initial pursuit, a falafel joint from my Instagram scrolls, was brimming. But fate led me down the boulevard to Sins of Sal—a serendipitous discovery that began with "just one drink" and blossomed into an evening of gustatory wonder. Their cocktails? Absolute showstoppers! Each sip sparked a chorus of awe from every corner of the bar. Seated at the counter, I was in the good company of Martin and his adept crew who curated my evening with impeccable drink and dish recommendations. Every morsel was a masterstroke, every gulp a novel symphony—true embodiments of their "Latin Guilty Pleasures" mantra. And the ambiance? Drenched in captivating Mexican allure. A shoutout to the arbiters at 50bestbars—Sins of Sal, with its maestro Martin, undoubtedly deserves your spotlight. A riveting experience that's etched in my memory, urging all and sundry to indulge!
