Sushi Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I am still in shock at how poor this experience was. I ordered the 100 piece “party combo” for 130 euros, placed the order at 18:30 and received it at 21:00. The service on the phone was incredibly poor when asking about the status of my order. I was told to wait a second and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Once received, the order had 60% surimi sushi pieces (the cheapest and worst kind). You would think if ordering the most expensive set you would get a lot of good pieces. But this wasn’t the case. The sushi was not fresh at all and had no flavor. Overall, extremely shocked and disappointed at this experience my girlfriend and I went through on Valentine’s Day.

It is my second time ordering (after a very good first experience a couple years ago), and I can definitely say I will never be ordering again from here and would advise people against it.

We ordered it on Monday, which you would assume is not a super crowded day or anything, and yet we had to call the restaurant after one hour to ask why our food had not been delivered yet. Even though they said it was on its way, nothing came. Half an hour later we called again and then suddenly they "found" the order in their system, claiming there was some sort of confusion with another client's order. Eventually the food came. To apologize for their mistake they texted us a discount code. A few days later we decide to use the code. You guessed, the code didn't work. So we call the restaurant again to try and understand how to solve this. They then say they couldn't really so anything on that night since they had another problem with their system and would have to get back to us at a later date. Don't order...

Super good customer service. They called me to inform me my order was going to take longer than expected, and for my patience, gave me a 7,50€ gift card. We also called for my sister’s birthday party, to order for a party, and they put together a custom basket for the amount of people we were having over + what flavors we liked. They did a really great job of listening and helping. My mom is also vegan and they have an amazing vegan menu with fake fish that tastes just like real fish, I tried it and was super impressed. They update their menu quite frequently which is nice to try...
