I typically rate a restaurant by the following points:
Customer Service Price & Quality balance Taste (yes quality and taste are two different things. If you don't get that, go eat grass) Punctuality
Customer Service Non-existent. I had to chase them multiple times myself only to speak to a grumpy, APPARENTLY long time friend (jugding by the tone he spoke to me), telling me he should arrive here any minute. I HOPE he accidentally hung me up, before he could say 60+ minutes. When the guy arrived I wasn't sure if I was ordered food or 15kg cocaine. Atleast he said "Enjoy your meal" +1 star for that.
Price & Quality balance Listen, I'm half Indonesian and half surinam living in Europe. That means two things. I eat everything and I know what good food is. So yes, I had my fair share of street food and fine dining. I get that I can't expect Massimo Bottura quality with only 17EU. But this was ridiculous. The paneer looked like it was dry rubber with the consistency of a feta cheese. Maybe it was, I don't know. All the other stuff looked like it was manufactured in CHINA from repurposed PLASTIC. (The chicken also tasted like that)
Taste As I said, I'm half asian. I understand that aesthetic does not always do justice to the taste, but nothing tasted like it should. Some dishes had no taste AT ALL. I can go on about this, but just trust me. I don't even know what these other reviewers are talking about. What have you been eating all your life? You know that the grass thing was a joke, right?
Punctuality Let me tell you this, by the time that guy arrived I finished watching few Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episodes. It took the man 2 hours, before he arrived. The delivery boy was probably contemplating whether he should or not deliver it, cause he knew the food is gonn be terrible.
Conclusion, I don't blame the man on the phone or the delivery boy. They probably just trying to work, but know the food is terrible. They make the best out of it even when all the odds are against them. I WOULD BE GRUMPY TOO! I didn't even finish my meal. I'm 5'7/170cm and 110lbs/80kg, I DON'T THROW...

I made an order here tonight on uber eats (it is called the Indian Tandoori there) and wish I had read the reviews about delivery before.
The order was supposed to arrive between 18:50 and 19:10. At 19:40 when it had not arrived, I called the restaurant, who told me that the courier already had the food and I should be receiving it any minute.
Another 30 minutes passed. I'm only a 13 minute bike ride from the location so I tried to call again. There was no answer, so I contacted uber eats support.
They called the restaurant and via support I learned that my food wasn't with the courier yet but they would call me when they sent it out. This was at 20:35, so I asked to cancel the order because at this point I was starving and had no idea when to expect my food so I decided to cook something quick.
Imagine the courier's surprise when he rang my bell at 21 (almost 2 hours late!) with the order and I told him it had been canceled 30 minutes prior so he could take it back.
Such a waste. I get that things happen and I might have considered not canceling if they would have just communicated an honest timeline.
Alternatively maybe they should not accept new orders if they don't have...
Read moreBeen a regular customer for years. And when I say regular, I mean regular. I was happy to let go of the fact that they had the nerve to call me a day after ordering to request a review. But then recently came the day they gave me a little packed cake I ordered which was already totally squashed and broken apart when they put it in with the other items. I sent them a complaint through their own web form. Never heard back.
And that's how they treat someone who has been ordering from them at least twice a month for years. Either make it up to me, Tandoori Express - and I mean BIG TIME - or never again.
Beware of fake reviews: if it says the restaurant is nice, or the atmosphere is good, you know it's written by someone affiliated with this place. There is no restaurant, it's a place you order from. In theory you can walk in and order takeaway, but we did that once and they clearly do not like actual live customers in their place. That's fine, but any reviewer claiming this is a lovely...
