Vlaamsch Broodhuys Middenweg Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I had been getting my bread here so often, it’s pretty good. I went for breakfast today and left without having any. I got charged right after I ordered, 30€ for two coffees and two sandwiches for my partner and I, only for the staff to come up to us twice and tell us that our already paid sandwiches were not available and we had to choose something else. Since the coffee also did not arrive after a while and the two women at the counter were acting quite rude, we decided to go somewhere else and ask our money back. That’s when they told us they can’t do that cause the billing system doesn’t allow to give money back and we could just get a voucher. If you can’t refund people, you should probably not charge them before checking whether you have the option they ordered and pretty much tell it to them as if you couldn’t care less whether...

Below you can see my original post I wrote a month ago. Today had a horrible experience with a hew person who was extremely rude and tried to teach me being polite while he was on his phone talking while customers entered the place. Was a client for almost a year and some rude person just made it unpleasant.

Most amazing bakery in the neighbourhood. Great selection of breads, pastries and even more. They have really nice coffee and you can have lunch. The manager of the place (Valentijn, who sadly left) such a sweetheart. He always welcomes us with a smile and serve with good vibes. Strongly recommended if you want some nice Dutch bites. We had our 1 year old's birthday party at the Huyskamer op de Middenweg. First of all, it was such a lovely venue to host a gathering, it's spacious, well decorated, yet have such a cozy feel. The branch manager Haytham was very helpful in preparing for the party, from answering questions about the venue, to planning the food and drinks, even helping with party decor.
