TL;DR. I ended up paying for the wrong order, that they threw away after I asked to take it home, because I already took a bite!

The service at this place is absolutely appalling! We came in, and the waiters just looked at us from behind the counter. After standing in the middle of the room for what felt like a minute, one of the waiters walked in our direction, just to walk past us to one of the other tables, while the other two just stood around chatting. We decided to take a seat. And after I almost stood up to go place our drink order at the bar, someone finally approached us. We ordered our drinks, and when the drinks came, we ordered our food. After sitting with empty glasses for quite some time, I finally got a waiters attention for a refill. When our food came, we started eating, but my food was so hot, I couldn't even eat it. I didn't want to make a fuss, and thought I'd just take it home. I ended up eating my wife's dish, as she wasn't very hungry. In this time, no waiter came around to our table the whole tome.

After we sat with our empty plates for quite some time, I decided to get up and order desert at the bar. When the desert finally came, I explained the situation, that this is not what we ordered, but it's fine. Just put it in a takeaway for us to take home, and I asked for the bill. After I received the bill, I saw that the bill showed the item I ordered, not the one I received. Proving that the mistake was somewhere between the waiter and the kitchen. After paying the bill, I reminded them about my takeaway. After no one came back to my table, I got up and went to the bar.

They apologised, but they already threw it out. I told them that I only had a few bites, and that according to their own slip, they gave me the wrong dish.

They agreed, and apologiesed, but said that because I already ate from the food, they won't be giving me a refund!

Firstly, if you couldn't tell the difference between the right dish and the wrong dish, how was I supposed to know the difference without tasting it... On your own system, it shows the dish that you should have brought, which means my communication was clear, and you ordered it correctly. But your kitchen screwed up, and no one caught the mistake. And because I made no fuss, you decided to just throw it away, and still charge me for it!

This is...

Authentic Japanese vibe, the space is smaller than I imagined but it's still all right, cozy with dim light. Staff: very supportive, nice; perhaps still not enough staffs for crowded hours like Saturday evening. However, the staffs are calm and fast Food: For main dish, we ordered Traditional Tokyo Ramen, Beef Tantanmen and Goma Tantanmen. Goma and Tradiotional are well-seasoned, if you like spicy, Goma could be a good go. The beef tantanmen needed to add a little little bit salt. There are around 3-4 slices of chasiu in the tradiotional and goma. Both quantity and quality are nice! Very recommend For side dish: we had Takoyaki ( well seasoned, the flour inside is pubply), gyoza ( so-so, a plus for homemade gyoza), okonomi karage (very delish, crunchy outside, moist inside, a bit fat, sauce is just enough amount). Recommend to try when they're just served and hot! We ordered fried shrimps but they forgot, maybe it's so crowded. The missing star is for waiting time, perhaps it's Saturday evening, and they just open for a fee weeks so they don't have enough staffs and chefs. In the end, it's worth experience. I definitely come back...

Great flavours, nice atmosphere, authentic I've had traditional shoyu ramen, miso beef ramen, gyoza en kara-age at this place.

Edit: first few times were nice (gave it 4 star overall then)

But since my last visit I noticed a few things which make me edit my review now: girl who works service looks (and acts) like she doesn't want to be there takes ages for tables to get cleaned (bowls sit there for 20+ minutes after guests have left) food can take very long (on one of my visits it was really fast really cold inside cleaningcrew is on strike; toilet was really dirty few hours after opening (hard to believe it was cleaned). Spiderwebs here and there... miso ramen was really sweet (last visit) ramen broth could be hotter

Food was still enjoyable, but I liked it better the first few times. Service, hospitality, hygienics...

The price-to-portion ratio is generally acceptable, especially considering how affordable the meals are. In terms of taste, the food was really nice, though I would have preferred the chicken karage to be slightly crispier. The ramen (Spicy Teriyaki Chicken) on the other hand, was an incredible value for the price. The portion size was generous, and the broth was hearty and flavorful. However, the spiciness level was quite mild—definitely not what I'd consider an "Asian level of spicy." So if you love spicy food, you might find the heat lacking (at least I did). The restaurant itself is clean and cozy, and the food was served very quickly. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! 10/10, I definitely would! One note: If the restaurant is busy, please be patient. It seems they operate with a small staff—just one person in the kitchen and one serving.

The ramen surpised me, it was pretty darn good. It's not Sapporo ramen, but they never advertised themselves as such. It is not 100% authentic to the details, but it comes pretty close. I can tell the cooking and taste actually had effort put in. The price is very acceptable for ramen and I can recommend this place. If you order the spicy ramen, make sure you can handle it, lol. It's not too bad, but don't expect it to be very mild. I can even recommend it for first timers that have never tried real Japanese ramen before. The service felt pretty minimal, so don't expect 5 star treatment. However, I personally didn't had too much issue with it. Just be prepared to be a bit pro active on your own part.
