We visited this restaurant while in Aruba after seeing how many people were seated, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The lady at the front desk outside was incredibly welcoming, and our waiter, I believe his name was Michael, was also very friendly. My wife had the shrimp, chicken, and beef skewer, and I had the fried shrimp with yellow rice and vegetables. We enjoyed the meal so much that we decided to return before leaving Aruba.
On our second visit, we were greeted by the same friendly lady at the front and seated. We saw Michael, our previous waiter, but it seemed like he wasn't assigned to our table this time, and a different waitress took over. Unfortunately, our new waitress took quite a long time to acknowledge us—about 10 minutes—before coming over to take our order. She wasn’t rude, but she also wasn’t very welcoming. We noticed her engaging with other tables, laughing and taking pictures, but she still didn’t check in on us. Once we placed our order, she disappeared again, and we were left waiting. When our meal finally arrived, she again focused on other tables, but didn’t check in on us or offer to refill my drink. I had to ask another waitress for a refill.
At this point, my wife was frustrated and went to speak with the lady outside. She reassigned us to Michael, our previous waiter. Although we didn’t expect any compensation, Michael kindly removed the Coca-Cola from our bill and apologized for the inconvenience.
The food was still great, and we had an excellent experience on our first visit. While the second experience didn’t quite match the first, it doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and our overall positive experience. I would still...
Read moreDec2023: 3⭐: I could not recommend this location to visiting families or couples. I went to this location as a result of getting off a local excursion and looking for a place nearby to eat an evening meal. We stopped at this location because it was convenient and they had a menu displaying the catch of the day. The server seemed to be pushing everything that she could on the appetizer menu instead of asking us about the entrees which we were ready to order since it was already late in the evening about 7:30 p.m. we placed our order for our entrees and waited for the meals to arrive at the table. When the meals arrived at the table, it seemed that the vegetables were a tad bit undercooked. My spouse indicated that the shrimp were very tasty. The server pushed the shrimp added package entree on us like a timeshare sales person would in Mexico. Once the meals arrived at the table, we were ghosted by the server. The entrees were just okay. Not worth the excessive "ask" by the restaurant. There are other restaurants on this trip that serve this exact same meal for a substantially, cheaper price and better quality. I ate at that restaurant a day ago before eating at...
