We went here to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and what a celebration it was! Everyone at Aruba's Texas Brazil is so kind and attentive and they really seem to want you to have an amazing dining experience, like no other restaurant on the island offers.
The food is sensational! The rubs and spices and marinades the various meats are cooked with are amazing. But also, the carvers are just as amazing and helpful with their knowledge of what they were serving. When we asked, they were very helpful with selecting meat cooked to our liking. My sons and husband chose medium to medium rare for his red meat and I chose well, each of us were consistently happy with the cut the carvers served us. My daughter was delighted to have bacon wrapped filet not once but twice! My littlest daughter was treated so nicely by our attentive waitress and the carvers. She had a rare opportunity to try so many different tastes and cuts of meat and they were all so kind to her. Where else can you go and for the price of one cut at an expensive steak house receive multiple cuts of multiple meats?? The chicken served like my Italian Grandma used to make- MamaMia! Pork Tenderloin and Ribs so tender it has a welcome fall onto your plate! Lamb, the gentleman carving the lamb knew it was my favorite and was attentive to making sure I had a slice often. The red meat was a steak lovers dream, like I said before, you are offered so many different cuts cooked various ways the entire time you are there!
The best part on this night, is that this trip was to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and Texas Brazil had a full group of baritone meat carvers sing a birthday song like no other! Happy Day! Happy Day! We didn't get a video but we will never forget it and On top of all that they honored my husband's service with a Veterans Discount and thanked him! What a birthday gift!
Don't let the price scare you away by any means, this place does dinner like no other! Where else can you go and eat multiple types and multiple servings of all meats all evening long! Texas Brazil in Aruba!!! ( we ordered a pitcher of sangria too- best on...
Read moreI've been to many Rodizios around the world, from China to USA and other Latin American countries. This one was definitely pricey.
We got a reservation for Easter Monday evening, we took some photos outside and then the hostess promptly sat us down at our table. It was abit chilly inside as they had the ac cranking much like an American establishment would. Our waiter who was a nice Arubian older gentleman who gave us excellent service and very attentive to our needs. He explained to us how the cards worked green when you want the servers to come around and give you meets and red who your full or want to take a break.
They have a huge drink menu, mostly consisting of red and white wines and and a few bar mixed drinks. My wife went with the passion fruit caprinhinas and I went w the virgin mojito, was was very well made.
The one part that I was very disappointed In was the selection at the salad bar. It literally was a small salad bar with not too many choices and not much appetizers, no French fries or anything like that. For the amount the menu was very disappointing. Anyways, I'm not a big salad person so it was a huge deal for me.
Then came the meats, I have been in Aruba for a few days and meats is definitely not their thing here in Aruba, so I was craving the rodizio. Sirloin came out first, then sausage, bacon wrapped chicken, which I passed on, looked dry to me. Next was the spicy beef of some sort. It was alittle bit more on the well done side, but tasty.. hardly any spice if they call it spicy.
Then we had lamb, bacon wrapped filet mignon, which again way too done. The only one that was done to my liking was the sirloin which was in a med rare, everything else was overcooked for my taste.
Overall the service was excellent. The meats was abit overcooked at times and salad bar left much to be desired. Still had a wonderful time...
Read moreAs is expected at this chain, the meat was quite well prepared. The leg of lamb was over done, and contrary to the menu and the ads, the lamb chops were unavailable. The wine selection is adequate, with several vintages that will complement the meal. Unfortunatly, the staff is almost to a person unpleasant! There were very few employees of this location that could hope to keep their jobs, had they been employed by Texas de Brazil on the mainland. From the young lady greeting us at the door, through to the waiter, and most of the servers, the best that could be said is that they were surly. They managed to taint what would have been a good meal, and a lovely New Years Eve, making us regret choosing this restaurant. I have eaten at several churrascarias, both in the U.S. and in Brazil, and I have enjoyed meals at two other Texas de Brazil. Not only will I never return to this location, I feel that the parent company should be very apprehensive about chasing away future patrons for their restaurants on the mainland. Had this been my only experience with this chain, I would NEVER go back! As it is, I will simply avoid the...
