We were recommended by friends who were here last month. We also asked taxi drivers and they said you can’t go wrong. First I will say we say semi outside under the awning which later I realized was not cooled by the evening breeze so I would have sat all the way outside. We ordered drinks which were good nothing to special Limoncello martini and a margarita. Even though it was warm out I cant deny a soup recommendation I love soup. I opted for the Caribbean sea soup it was sooooo full of flavor and delicious my boyfriend kept grabbing the bowl for more. Being from Maryland by the water we love seafood. The scallops and shrimp were meaty and succulent I could have this soup 3 times a week and love it everytime. I also love that served it with a lime wedge. I love lime. I read that the menu had NYC pricing which is semi true any good restaurant with seafood will be pricy but the portions were nothing short of “you’ll have half left over” we were cruising so we sat and took our time to eat what we could. I ordered the grouper grilled with lemon perfectly grilled and matched with veggies I only used lemon every few bites. It really did not need anything else. The tuna tartare was just as amazing fresh, slightly chilled and served with teriyaki not soy which was nice. My boyfriend ordered the lobster pasta it was a daily special, it was loaded with lobster and cheese and tons of flavor. I prefer my lobster grilled or in a light white wine or garlic cream sauce. It was the heaviest plate of pasta ever felt, he left a lot of pasta but demolished the lobster cheese and tomatoes. The server was kind and did a great job also.We skipped out on desert and decided to go for a walk and ended up getting gelato on the way back. We were full satisfied and we would...
Read moreThank you JONATHAN for the mostly good service. He was friendly, but the issue was when I ordered I told him my appetizer was my meal, but he still had it come out before our food. I asked him the put happy birthday on the vegan brownie to go and he placed an order for a separate regular brownie and didn’t make it to go after that. Someone else brought out the birthday brownie and said there weren’t any candles left. Then the couple across from us had a birthday dessert and it had a beautiful sparkling candle come with there’s. I asked Jonathan about it and he said the guy that brought it out made a mistake….. so NOT only didn’t my husband get the full birthday experience I also had to PAY for a dessert I didn’t ask for. All he said was I apologize I’ll go get these brownies to go I forgot, I apologize someone else took out the brownie, I apologize… all these apologies and no proper solutions or recompense for making these mistakes.
Normally for these types of errors a server doesn’t get a good tip and as a sign of great customer service you remove the price of the errors YOU make…. Aruba has NOT shown to have 5 star...
Read moreThis place was not tasty at all… Long wait and very subpar vegan food that’s severely overpriced.. they even charged for sharing a plate!!! wouldn’t recommend ATALL. We ordered the vegan calamari &seafood platter and although it looked cute it was gross… the service was even worse. She claimed our cards weren’t working but they were working at the bar previously with plenty of funds.! I tried to cancel the meal after 30 minutes of waiting but waitress continued to assure us it was coming. Eventually got there and I nearly puked after eating it was so gross
Edit: this owner’s comment is not acceptable at all! No restaurant in America would say anything like this.. if I didn’t like my food what does that have to do with ANYONE else. I also saw multiple tables upset with the waiting time that weren’t ordering vegan options. One lady just told them to not even remake her food because it was taking so long.. so clearly not everyone was satisfied! Wish I never ate at this horrible overpriced restaurant -non...
