Went here for taco Tuesdays. This is a restaurant where we experienced the worst customer service. They do not care at all about the customers or the service they provide. The tacos hurt my stomach as well. If you’re going to offer taco Tuesdays for one dollar each you don’t need to treat the customers like garbage. My husband ordered a drink and we even ordered guacamole to start.
So we weren’t just there for the tacos on special. But we are still treated terribly. It was awkward, uncomfortable and definitely not an experience. You shouldn’t have to feel like this while you’re on vacation. This is the only restaurant that made us feel like this. We felt very uncomfortable when the server came and tried to take away the guacamole with still chips inside the plate and guac inside the bowl when my husband stated he’s still working on it the server then came back and said, would you like me to pack this up for you when the bowl was done. I don’t understand the humor. It was more like a jab to my husband, because I’m sure any smart tourist would know not to really act out or defend themselves in another country. Where it might be taken the wrong way. Also this island is tiny so you could run into the same people. Furthermore, when my husband was asking for more water, they were just trying to rush us out and brought the bill without the water. My husband didn’t ask for the water again before he paid the bill and the waiter angrily brought a jug of water and didn’t even pour it and just left a big jug of water on our table like we were wasting his time. The service is horrendous. I wouldn’t even waste a dollar on the tacos as it’s not worth it. The pulled pork and the chicken taste the exact same so I’m pretty sure they were using pulled pork for the “chicken tacos”. Just disgusting. Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths and that’s sad because we’ve been having a great time with great service here in Aruba. Will definitely not be going back there. Also everywhere we’ve been so far in Aruba is very clean except for this spot. What a façade of a restaurant. It looks pretty. The music is good however that’s about it. Don’t waste your time or money here there are many other good establishments you...

In the heart of the tourist area of Aruba, an excellent option if you want something simple, good, nice and cheap. If you are someone who doesn't like the sun, try to go in the morning or when it's getting dark, since in the evening the sun shines too much and affects your food since you get a lot of sun outside. Another taco that we loved and I personally don't like spicy things very much but in that exception this taco was delicious SHRIMP 12.75 |PANKO-FRIED SHRIMP | LOCAL MIXED GREENS CHILI SRIRACHA SAUCE | PICO DE GALLO FLOUR TORTILLA *MILDLY SPICY! Lola's Taqueria, bursting with energy in the heart of Aruba, delivered a fantastic experience! The warm and welcoming staff was always attentive and happy to recommend local favorites, which truly enhanced our visit.
I highly commend Lola's for offering diverse dietary options, including gluten-free and vegan dishes. However, it's essential to mention that* due to shared fryers, complete gluten avoidance might be challenging*. If you have celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity, it's best to speak directly with the staff about your specific needs.
For me, the house-made corn tacos were a delightful highlight! Both the standard version and the customizable option using their in-house shells were bursting with flavor. Though on the smaller side, they packed a punch, and the pork and chicken options were particularly delicious.
Beyond the food, the service truly shone. Our servers were incredibly attentive and went the extra mile to ensure our gluten-free requests were met. Their recommendations for authentic Aruban experiences were spot-on, showing their genuine desire to make our visit special.
Tip: On Tuesdays, head to Lola's for their famous $1 taco day! Be prepared for a wait due to the popularity, but the unbeatable price and delicious flavors are worth it.
Overall:
Lola's Taqueria offers a vibrant atmosphere, excellent food, and fantastic service. While those with strict gluten requirements should exercise caution, everyone else can expect a delightful experience. Be sure to try the $1 tacos...
