I’ve had my fair share of good and bad experiences at restaurants but this by far has got to be the worst. If I could give no stars I would but 1 stars will have to suffice. Do not come here if you are in a rush or want good service. They also might just lose your card in the process of checking you out.
Service: (0/5)
We came in a party of 2 and 1 baby. We were seated by the window inside. We were not offered a booster seat. I chalked that up to our little being still asleep when we got there but once she woke up we still were not given a high chair. We sat down and waited for the lady working the section to take our order. She proceeded to come by and explain that she would take the table next to ours order and then ours. A waiter from outside saw us waiting for a long while and proceeded to take our order while stating he was just taking our order to assist to our waiter.
We waited a terribly long time (50+ minutes for breakfast I could have cooked at home in 15) for our order to come. While waiting we flagged down our waiter for some coffee. You see she was actively assisting the table next to our but never got around to assisting us although she did acknowledge our babies birth months were close and how hers was almost one with only one tooth.
This is where things get funny. It’s time to pay. The lady brings the check and doesn’t come back for it. We wave down someone because at this point we are just ready to go. Quite a while goes by and I get up to ask for my card back. The guy at the bar asks who is my server. I point at my server she says she isn’t our server points at the guy who took our order. He says he isn’t our server. I point out the foolishness of this situation and let them know that this is why the service has been awful. Meanwhile they still haven’t tracked down who had my card. I don’t play these games. They finally track down my card and run it and we leave.
Food: (2/5)
The steak was over cooked, chewy and very fatty and not well seasoned. The omelette was over cooked. Hash browns , sausage, bacon and home fries were good. Croquettes didn’t taste cooked all the way through and I’ve had better...
Read moreAfter walking around Palm Beach one night, we decided it would be a good idea to try Salt & Pepper. It was listed in numerous dining magazines and guidebooks, appeared to have a cool atmosphere, and a menu that offered decent variety with fairly reasonable prices. Between their selection of tapas, entrees, salads and sandwiches, it seemed like a place where everyone could find something they would like.
When we went for dinner, we sat at a table outside but did notice one cool thing about the interior of the restaurant. Going off the name, the restaurant is decorated with unique salt and pepper shakers from around the world. They actually offer a discount on drinks to anyone who brings in a set of salt and pepper shakers. Nice touch.
For my meal, I ordered the Pineapple-Curry Shrimp as an appetizer and the Salt & Pepper Burger as my entree. The curry shrimp wasn’t really what i was expecting, as the shrimp and pineapple were basically swimming in a pool of curry sauce. The flavor was good but I would have preferred a few more shrimp and pineapple and a little less curry.
The Salt & Pepper Burger was a massive burger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, cheese, bacon, & pineapple. The beef had good flavor but the bun on this burger was huge, causing the meat and toppings to be overwhelmed by the taste of the bread, which wasn’t anything special. I was also disappointed with the pineapple, which appeared to be a slice from a can. I’d suggest grilling the pineapple before putting it on the burger.
Ultimately, I’d consider Salt & Pepper to be a disappointment. The concept and the atmosphere was cool, but it fails to deliver on flavor and value. And when you’re on vacation, you definitely don’t waste your time eating...

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Each dish we tried was bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. Every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. It's clear that they put a lot of passion and creativity into their menu.
What truly sets Salt and Pepper apart is their one-of-a-kind salt and pepper shaker collection. The restaurant is filled with an eclectic and fascinating array of shakers from all over the world. It's a quirky and fun touch that adds to the restaurant's charm. We loved browsing through the collection, and it was a great conversation starter.
As a bonus, the restaurant offers a special treat for those who contribute to their collection. If you bring in a unique set of salt and pepper shakers, you receive a free sangria! This fun incentive not only adds to the restaurant's distinctive character but also makes for a memorable experience.
Overall, our time at Salt and Pepper Restaurant was fantastic.
