The Stone by Le Petit Cafe Aruba — Restaurant in Aruba

A friend recommended Le Petit and he was spot on. Great spot in the center of town that was in walking distace from our hotel and the fine shopping area.

We dined inside but the restaurant offers outdoor seating as well.

The menu offers choices of steak and seafood and a delicious assortment of appetizers.

My wife and I were greeted by our waiter who was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Manhattan and my wife a diet soda. Along with our drinks, we received a basket of warm and toasted garlic bread.

I started with the lobster bisque that was nice and creamy with lots of lobster bits. It was delicious but didn't have that buttery flavor that I would exect from a bisque.

Next, I had the catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi served with Caribbean Rice with Beans, a side of coleslaw, and pickled onions.

The Mahi Mahi was a nice portion and was outstanding. Great flavor and fresh. My wife's Grouper was also delicious and fresh.

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. Great food and service at a reasonable price. I would recommend Le Petit just was much as...

Poor poor poor service overpriced and the food comes out on a hot stone and they require you to cook the food by yourself at the table. It took like 40 minutes for a waiter to actually come over. Food was ok I had the seafood pasta with a bunch of seafood and I can't lie and say it wasn't good however the poor service and the delays and lack of attention coupled with the over priced entrees force me to leave this place a 1 star. If I could leave a half a star I would. There are plenty of Resturants in Aruba avoid this one with the gimiky stone food. Update after the bill came we went to pay with our American Express card and she said we don't take AMEX and being annoyed already I said that's all we have.... So the waiter goes and talks to the manager and sure enough the now they take American Express after about 45 seconds of trying to pressure us into producing another card or cash. this place is a total rip off please...

My family and I came for dinner and the service was horrible. Our food took more than an hour to come out. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the table next to us who came in 15 mins later got their's first. The waiter then realized and us if our appetizer came out yet. I had to keep asking to refill our water. I also requested for the bibs that other tables had because I did not want my clothes to be ruined from the spattering oil on the hot stone. The waiter said there was no more. So I had to make my own with the napkin I had. The food was not flavorful and my steak was not cooked. Literally had a raw center and I'm a person that likes medium rare. They tried to say the wait time for the hot stone meals are longer. However, my mother who got the ribs (not on hot stone) received her order the same time as us. AVOID! better off going to Tango Argentine grill for a hot stone...
