Origami Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Curaçao

It's afternoon, one waiter working, run off his feet; 3 other staff members and manager chatting amongst themselves or on their phones. No one at the door and manager, texting, missed two families entering and seating themselves, but the waiter caught them. One staff member chatting on business landline in bar area.

One waitress assisting the waiter at a very slow, tired pace with food delivery at times, but she strolls past the table next to us and does not clear the dishes left by the patron who just walked left. The waiter came past and cleared it.

It's obvious they're abusing the waiter. He was as attentive as he could be, moving at high speed to touch on everyone to make sure they're ok, but only when he could.

The sushi was good, the calamari was cold and both shrimp and the calamari seem to be store-bought and were tasteless. Took them home for supper anyway.

Below average especially for the price. A lot of rice vs fish. Their menu is not 2 person friendly since all their rolls come per 10. All their rolls come with cream cheese… like who eats sushi with that? There is a 10% service charge added to the bill. But when we got the bill the servant asked if we wanted to leave any tip. When we referred to the 10% he said that goes to the company and the rest of the staff… yeah where else should it go? All in all just didn’t feel good. Not...

It was my first time visiting Curacao and I had such a strong craving for sushi. It was such a last minute decision to really go get sushi and the plus side of this red was that it was a walk away from Kontiki Resort.
