't Havengat — Restaurant in Edam-Volendam

They discriminate!!! I went there the last monday to have my lunch. First came a young guy and I ask for the menú. He never came back. Then, a curly and blond hair girl came and I ask for one beer. She told me that that beer was very expensive for me, that I cannot pay it.. just to see me, because of my cloths.. I said that I want the beer and have to wait a lot for the menú. Then the guy bring me the menú and the same girl came back and take my menú and she said, ohh this is the correct one for you, and she trought me one that was very wet. And then I have to wait a lot to eat. Anybody wanted to attend me there.. of course.. I didn't was with a Black and brilliant dress..

My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch last October 15, we are tourists and the person who served me that day when I asked for the bill and paid with an American Express card told me that it didn't happen that I used another one and so I did. . Today, Sunday, October 22, I am checking my bank account statements and I see that they have charged me 3 times, 2 for £37.49, once in American Express and once in Visa and, a third time, £37.50 in American express. It is a typical tourist restaurant. Place was crowded but not nearly full. However waitress seemed to be stressed out. We did not felt too welcome here. We ordered fried cod, chicken and chips for kids as well as a sushi bowl. It took 45 minutes to arrive. Fish and chips was barely warm and not tasty. Chicken for the kids was waaayyyyy too spicy. Was wondering which children would eat this. Sushi bowl seemed to be delivered from somewhere else. Nice place for a coffee outside but really nothing if you want to have a decent lunch. Sorry to say but can't give more...
