A single slice of aubergine cost ā¬8 which is absolutely crazy to charge that much for a single slice. Not even a whole aubergine, like 10% of an aubergine. Absolutely crazy. The burgers where ok, had better, had worse. But the price and the freaking aubergine, keeps me up at night. Felt like they robbed me. Wake up with fever dreams just screaming ever since. I'm never going there again. If you do, don't be like me. Don't spend ā¬8 for a single slice of aubergine, you will never forgive yourselves. Edit: just to clarify, I did not get half an aubergine I literally got a single slice. Maybe something went wrong when I was there as I was suprised it was just one thins slice but it defiantly was not half an aubergine. I would agree with rent and bills that ā¬8 for half is a fair price, but this is not what I received and the response you gave kinda makes you look bad ima. As we finished, the waitress at the cashier fully discounted another burger from our group that had no issues and was cheaper than what i ordered. Her justification for discounting my friends burger instead of mine was that they would lose more money. Like, what? I fail to see her reasoning here. It was what I ordered and had a problem with.
I then asked to speak to the manager after hearing what she said and she rolled her eyes and left while we were talking to her. Really poor attitude.
Anyways, the manager that came was friendly and sorted everything. I wouldn't have bothered with this review if the waitress wasn't so rude. Its unfortunate since the rest of the staff were friendly and my friends enjoyed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's (supposedly) called smoke because this restaurant is a restaurant which (supposedly) smokes it meat. The sad thing is that they don't, or at least not really. Most of the meats they serve are "aftersmoked". Which means it is grilled on a gas grill and the smoked for around a maximum of 10 or of you're really lucky 20 minutes. Real smoked meats are, at least, smoked for 2 hours and usually way longer than that. So "smoking" something for 20 minutes but really grilling is not smoking meat. But seeing how there is no real definition of what smoking meat is in the Netherlands this "restaurant" can get away with calling it's meat smoked even though it's grilled. Therefor calling this restaurant "smoke" is either a dillusion at best or outright lying and swindling people at worst. The staff are nice enough when they have a second to spare though... Sadly they don't...
