Jacobus Pieck — Restaurant in Haarlem

First of all, no complaints about the food. It’s as outstanding as sandwiches get. However, the service is outrageously subpar. Upon arriving, we inquired whether we could sit in the lovely, empty wintergarden area. The answer was a quick and definite no, so we had to sit next to the bathroom and the kitchen, looking with sadness into the empty Wintergarden. Minutes later, a pair of women arrived, and proceeded to sit at the spot of our desire. The waiter who had previously been so quick telling us no when to take their order as if nothing has happened. We did move to the wintergarden soon after, only to find out then the only two alcoholic beverages on the menu were wine and beer. That’s it. No further details were provided. We do realize this place caters to a lot of tourists and they probably don’t see the same customer twice, but making a tiny effort would be a wonderful idea...

A great little place with fantastic food options in one of the most beautiful streets in Haarlem. It does not matter what you order it's all great the place looks perfectly correct for it's location and the service is always friendly and attentive.

We have been traveling to Holland for many years from the States and Pieck is a must visit every time we are in Haarlem. The food is absolutely beautiful and the taste is even better!
