We found in Haarlem a number of better restaurants. By far the finest food destination of our short tour of the country. Restaurant Metzo was one of three spots we enjoyed, located just off of the town center, on a quiet cobbled street lined with shops and bistros. The non rushed atmosphere of this place was welcome after a day of high season crowds and high temperatures. Pleasant from the start. Being offered flat tap water instead of the 6-10€ bottled water so common everywhere. We chose single glasses of wine as opposed to by the bottle. We were happy with these selections. The food at Mitzo is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a masterpiece, prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The flavors are refined and sophisticated, perfectly balanced to satisfy even the most discerning palate. What’s even more impressive is that the portions are generous without compromising on quality — a rare combination in fine dining.
In every sense, Mitzo exceeds expectations. For those seeking an unforgettable gastronomic experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. I recommend it without...
Read moreThe best bread olive oil and butter appetizer I've had in a while. Each of the 3 items were perfect. The main course was flavourful and well presented. Each bite revealed something even better inside the pappadum. The dessert was sublime and words probably won't be fair to use, go try it. Chocofruityicy serenity. It's easy to be pricey and good but this is one of the best value for money hi quality gastro experiences in Haarlem imo.

The star of the show was the portuguese pastry based dessert and it was deliccccious!! Total bill was under 25 eur which felt like really good value for money. This place is...
