New Vegas — Restaurant in Haarlem

I came here for a vegan dinner with family, after someone recommended it to me. I am so happy I found this place. All the dishes were vegan, creative, innovative and simply very tasty. The chef gives attention to detail, like cooking the veggies on the side in such a way that they are still a bit crispy. The "fake beef" as a starter is definately recommended (I haven't seen anything like this anywhere except Loetje, and this dish was much better). We also liked the chocolate dessert and the cheesecake. All the dishes looked nice and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

The man who served us was nice and they regularly checked if we needed anything and how we found the food. The place is very small, so make sure you reserve a table if you want to come! I did not like the inattention of the waiter in this place. I ordered a beer which the waiter called ale but the waiter brought another beer which turned out to be an IPA. I don't like IPAs. Then they brought a spicy burger, although the menu did not indicate anywhere that it was spicy. OK. Then the waiter offered to try the tripel, but did not warn that it was also spicy, with chili pepper. I don't like spicy food at all! We all had the Royale Burger, it was so good! Juicy and really good sauces, toppings…. Insane, I think we’ll have to go again soon. The truffle Krokketje, truffle fries and the side salad were also really good. Because we had a feeling we could not go wrong with anything here, we also had the Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Mousse: it did not disappoint at all!
