The sandwiches are really tasty there, which is why I keep coming back, but apart from that I always have a negative feeling. The staff are dismissive, borderline rude and act like they really don't want to be there, so I always feel like I'm inconveniencing them when I order. The service is notoriously really slow (all Stach places I've been to, not just in Haarlem), if you have at least 1-2 people before you in line you know it will take ages. I think that's because often the person taking orders is also the person making the coffee, so they have to keep going back and forth. Not really well organised and very poor customer relations.

It’s probably the closest thing you’ll find to a specialty café after 5 pm when most places around here close and leave you with only breweries selling coffee. The place isn’t super “aesthetic” but has a colorful and warm vibe. No latte art, but the coffee is delicious, and the pan au chocolat was on point.
