A small and often full pizzeria in the heart of the beautiful little town of Haarlem. Booking in advance is recommended. This is an authentic Italian restaurant, apparently run by brothers, one cooking and the other one taking care of table service. The service was "straightforward" in the Italian way, but a few words of Italian I knew immediately made the atmosphere more immediate and elicited thanks and smiles :)
Unfortunately, we only had time to try the pizzas here and although they were in the shape of a sympathetic heart, the "flatbread" was a bit small for my taste. A small minus, but actually the 4 stars I gave is 4.5 stars, because the flavors were very good.
The parking arrangements around the place are free, as in the Dutch way, but there are limited spaces and they are - as in the Dutch way - usually full. It doesn't help that the street in front is a one-way street and the only way to get back to the place to grab a free parking space is to go around the ridiculous almost 3km around the city center. In addition, the road is very busy and blocked by buses, so you have to find a space almost immediately, otherwise there will be another round :(
In addition, some parking spaces are somehow restricted (we never figured out the signs) and the parking enforcement seemed to be roaming around a lot despite a public holiday. Our own parking was left a bit "up to interpretation" and we just managed to get out when a heated debate about a recent parking ticket was already going on a few spaces away :D
It might be wiser to park your car somewhere else and walk the last few hundred meters to the place. The old town is beautiful to walk through and the restaurant is worth it. I highly...
Read more3 of us on a Thursday night; we picked the Venezia because it was near, reviews looked good, and was outside of the tourist center. It was packed at 8:30, but one available table. Service was prompt but not rushed, our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and easy on the eyes. I ordered the salami pizza which came very quickly and was delicious. The salami was nice and spicy, the sauce was very tasty. The youngin ordered an appetizer whose name I cannot remember but it was a veal, tuna, mayo concoction and he loved it. Mom had a glass of wine and some of the app and was happy. Our bill was about €36. The atmosphere was very cozy, crowded but not packed in. There were families and couples, and it seemed most of the customers were local. I would go again and recommend...

Greeted around 9.15 pm by "quickly the kitchen is closing" then ordered a starter and 2 pastas(to be served all together to spare hassle for the kitchen). The pasta with vegetables supposedly grilled vegetables that never seen a grill and could be made by an 11 years old. Did not taste horrible but its the kind of pasta you make at home under 7 minutes when your too lazy to cook properly and is nothing like restaurant quality let alone for 12.5 eur.
Taligatelle with gambas for 13eur you would expect some real shrimps not the .65 cents bag of shrimp-like worms from the supermarket that lacked taste. You would expect to be served spoons and Parmesan cheese but no, you will have to...
