Toko Nina — Restaurant in Haarlem

This place didn’t show up on Google when I searched for Indonesian restaurants, so I was surprised it popped up when I searched for an Asian market. Thankfully, it’s just a few feet away, so we went.

The first impression was fun, clean, and I felt right at home. While some products were easily found elsewhere, they had unique items like young coconut, durian, pandan sponge cake, and more.

As most Indonesian places, there was a line even on weekdays, but it moved quickly. The menus were similar to other places, so the tastes were pretty decent too.

However, what really set this place apart were the fun and creative wordings and decorations.

I actually like the store, it has lots of Asian foods products that I need. The food was okay, I had different experiences the first time I’ve been there and the last time. I think it was better before. Maybe because recently I tried different menu. The last time I came, they were very busy in the kitchen. I was waiting a bit at the cashier. There was a girl came out from the kitchen but maybe it was her lunch time because she just took the food and went back inside the kitchen again. If you are looking for the best Indonesian take away food in Haarlem? This is your place to go! The people are friendly, the food looks good and tastes good and there is plenty to choose from. Best time to get your food: 15:00-18:00. Getting there with the car isn't easy so if you are not familiar in Haarlem park in a garage and walk. If you like spicy food this is also a good address, one the sharpest options i have found in Haarlem.
