We‘ve finally made it back to this restaurant after 22 years (we had left the country). We had been thinking about this really special food experience many times and were looking forward to our visit - and what can I say, it was just as good as then. I think I was even better equipped to appreciate this cuisine and how the food is served (one big tray for everyone) and eaten (using the injera bread) after all this time in which I explored many other cuisines. We had two meat dishes and a selection of vegetables. I especially loved what I think...

I had never tried Eritrean food until my friends invited me to this place, and I must say I was missing out.

The food was insanely delicious, in fact some of the best food I have had in the Netherlands since I moved here 2 years ago. Everything was rich and tasty, we ordered one of the platters that has a bit of everything and it does not disappoint.

The owners are very kind and treat you very well, there was a small language barrier but nothing that really impaired the service.

Order one of the Eritrean beers! The coconut beer...

The amount of food we got was quite plentiful, but the taste wasn't to my liking. It takes some getting used to. The food is served on a communal platter for the entire table. You could also get your orders separate, which I recommend. Getting in on a big plate has it's issues as you also eat with your hands and the bread easily falls apart, especially after it sucks all the moisture of the dish. The traditional beer was amazing and is...
