Hello, I ordered here for my lunch today, and unfortunately, it wasn't like I remembered from last time. When I dined in previously, everything was freshly made, but that wasn't the case this time (I ordered delivery). I ordered the Chicken Chitan Shoyo (Ramen) and Korean Fried Chicken menu, looking forward to the flavors I had fallen in love with last time, which had made me a fan of Asian cuisines. However, I couldn't enjoy it this time.
First, I tried the Korean chicken, and after the first bite, I found the taste strange, but I thought it might be because it's a different restaurant. After a few more bites, I noticed that the chicken was still pink inside. When I called to complain, I was told it's a kind of chicken breast that is frozen and then cooked, so it shouldn't be harmful. I hung up, but even after trying another bite, it still wasn't good. I ended up only eating the rice and throwing away the rest.
Then I tried the Ramen; this time, the chicken was cooked through and not pink at all. But when I looked at the egg, it seemed thawed, so I avoided it. I left the vegetables and noodles too. I thought I still had the soup to drink, but sadly, it didn't taste the same as before; it was too salty for me (which rarely happens).
Overall, maybe it's the same if you dine in physically, but unfortunately, my experience this time wasn't the same. My advice would be, if you have to thaw everything for delivery, then don't offer delivery; focus on customers who come to the restaurant instead. This is the last time I'll ever order here. Maybe I'll come back in the future, but I won't be ordering...
Read morecame to Ane Ramen after a rough night and quite hungover to be honest! i am a woman of a certain age and hangovers can be quite intense for a lady like me but i can always count of a warm bowl of ramen to pick me up during a time like that!! i ordered the vegan ramen, i don't remember which one oopsie, from about 2-3 vegan ramen options! they differentiate between the type of broth they use, they have a clear one and a creamy one i believe. it says on the menu that the vegan ramen soup comes with rice noodles instead of regular ramen noodles which usually contain egg. when my meal was brought out i noticed that they must have made a mistake and gave me the ramen noodles instead of the rice ones. i brought my soup up back to the counter and asked them about my concern and i was right! they were very kind though and brought me back a new bowl of ramen with the correct noodles within a few short minutes. i saw a few other vegan options on the menu like fried spicy tofu as well as sides like edamame beans and fried rice! the atmosphere in the establishment is warm and friendly, you can see the staff greeting locals and many friendships going on. i hope that the more i come, the more i can also befriend the staff members because they look so kind. :) the interior design is very cool with a lot of puzzle art and Japanese influence. it is a bit pricey but i am more than happy to invest money into an experience that will bring me joy and warmth...
Read moreSolid bowl of ramen for the price and quality you get. Fun to get the Korean style of bowls. The issues I'm struggling with are the deeper parts of the craft. But all in all good for a fast and cheap bowl in a cosy atmosphere.
Some feedback of my experience: Couldn't taste that the noodle are homemade. For a tori paitan it was not very thick broth, too much oily mouthfeel and ok flavour but not bold enough. Soup was a bit too cold when it arrived. All toppings are also cold instead of preheated which contributed to that faster cooling down. Tori chicken chasshu was basic sous vide and not dry but still cold. Egg was half marinated, probably not completely covered while marinating but flavour was good. The yolk was too firm but that's a common issue that's hard to resolve.
I liked both flavours of Karaage and the portions were nice and big.
Kimchi is basic but solid. A tad too sour for me...
