The drinks were nice. And thats where nice things ended. Waited way too long for food that was enough for 2 bites.
The quesadillas were not really holding shape, and the contents were spilling out. The korean fried chicken is literally 2 pieces of fried chicken, with not much taste to it and a high suspicion of undercooked meat. On top of that the gyoza and takoyaki were barely warm.
The teriyaki salmon is again, undercooked, and just really small for the price you pay. The miso noodles were okay, but again, lack of flavor and very small portion.
You pay 40 euros for a full menu which u digest by the time the desserts arive ( 1.5 hours after ordering). Me and my hot girlfriend both ended up going home hungry. Its just way too expensive for what you get.
The japanese cheesecake was okay, not really fluffy but wasnt bad. Strawberries okay as well, but the whole dessert was drenched in miso caramel(???) which was savory and just tasted a bit weird and it honestly ruined the entire dessert for me. The spiced up brownie is actually spicy, and it was not pleasant to eat as a dessert at all.
The selection of hot sauces is a cool concept but the waitress gave us empty bottles, and when we asked for new bottles, we had to remove the packaging ourselves. Plus, one of the hot sauce bottles was clearly rotting.
Overall, the restaurant is a cool concept in theory but the food lacks flavour, soul and volume. Perhaps stick to serving drinks and borrel, and either leave the experimental food behind or hire a...
Read moreA colleague proposed to meet us in this place for a quick business dinner, or rather a quick bite after work. We were not many and he is from the area. I think we had booked, because although the place was half empty, a table with the exact number of seats was waiting for us. We start ordering drinks almost immediately, and shortly afterwards also something to nibble. But we were waiting for a slightly richer dish. The place looks young and trendy, the classic place that tries to bring a breath of fresh air to a place that doesn't need it at all. At our expense we have thus been able to see that the saying of some reviews is unfortunately true: the wait for the dishes is endless. We waited 30 minutes for a few bites of food in a half-empty room. The idea of small portions to be ordered repeatedly is not new and we know it can be a winner in some ways. However, if the service slows down, it becomes a place where people check their neighbour's dishes and pray for their own. And that's what we found ourselves doing. In addition to all this I must then add the incredible: they confused drinking orders, and to stay safe they didn't bring us the last round of beers. For all this facts, I wanna close saying that the bill was not in line with the service, good food at high price. Better go in one of the other places close to this and have...
Read moreI visited this place for brunch, and I honestly feel like we should be allowed to sue for false advertising. The sign outside claims ‘excellent brunch,’ but what we experienced was far from it. We ordered a chicken sandwich and the ‘Hangover Cure’ (scrambled eggs, bacon, and bread). Both dishes were simply terrible.
For a place that specializes in brunch, it’s shocking that they can’t even cook eggs properly. The scrambled eggs were dry, the bacon was completely burned and tasted like charcoal, and the bread was dry as well. To make matters worse, the dry eggs and bacon were just thrown on the bread with no spread or creamy texture to tie the dish together.
The chicken sandwich was no better. The chicken tasted like it was frozen, fried, and probably quite old. To add even more irritation, the prices for these poorly made meals were ridiculously high.
This visit is definitely one of my biggest regrets in this city. Avoid this place...
