After having lunch and dinner here several times, I wanted to share my honest opinion about this restaurant. To place an order, you have to scan the menu and order through their website, but the restaurant doesn’t provide Wi-Fi, so you need to use your own internet. The first time I came I was really surprised about this and even asked the waiter, who went to check and then told me they don’t have Wi-Fi. Honestly, it’s strange that a restaurant that requires online ordering doesn’t offer internet itself.
Another thing is that the website is very limited: you can only scan and order, but you can’t modify your order or make small changes to the dishes. For example, I might want to leave something out of my ramen, but there’s no option for that. And if you’re sitting somewhere not in clear view, or when the staff are busy, it’s basically impossible to get their attention — you have to leave your table and look for a waiter yourself. The waiters don’t check on you unless they’re bringing your food or coming to clear the plates, which feels like poor service.
When it comes to paying, you’re asked how much tip you’d like to give. But honestly, what am I tipping for exactly, if the service is almost non-existent?
Another small but frustrating thing: when you sit down, they only give you a single napkin, and that same napkin is supposed to last for your whole meal no matter how much food you order. If you need another one, you always have to ask for it. For some dishes, customers really need a box of tissues or at least a few napkins on the table.
And something I found really odd — the music. Almost every time I’ve been here, they play rap songs where the singer is either talking about sleeping with prostitutes or doing drugs. It just feels completely out of place when you’re sitting with friends and trying to enjoy a meal. With this kind of music, the whole vibe feels less like a restaurant and more like some smoke spot where everyone’s getting high.
The food itself is actually very good, and that’s the main reason I kept coming back. But the service is very poor, and I don’t think I’ll be eating here again anytime soon. Maybe I’ll return in a few weeks just to see if they’ve improved after this review and whether customer feedback really...
Read moreFood: good; Service: bad and not customer oriented, incl. management - Reason: At least the ones serving us were unfriendly, one waitress reacted indignantly when some of us spoke in English; in my opinion absolutely inept for a restaurant with also many international guests. After finishing, the personnel told us it is not possible that we pay separately, even not subgroups, and we were a group of 15 people, the bill amounting to several hundred euros. Admitted that it was written down somewhere but given the fact that the restaurant knew we were such a big group, just a small hint or talk to us before would have been way more costumer-friendly. In the end, after more than 1 hour holding us all in the restaurant and discussing without giving us actual reasons for this inconvencience, we could at least split up into 4 parts if we compute the prices ourselves (and this was only ok for them because they realized that it was impossible for us that just one single person of us pays almost 300 euros first and then has to take the money from all the others himself; might be ok for companies but not for every kind of group).
This is truly bad service and at least none of us experienced this before. To be complete here, the food is really ok and also the price is ok, we could not complain. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant if you would like to have a convenient get-together with...
Read moreA few days ago, we went to this restaurant, which is situated conveniently close to the Maastricht Railway station at around 5:30pm.
Despite us thinking that we might be early for dinner, the Restaurant was already busy and filling up a little later.
Having been welcomed and shown to our seats by a very friendly waitress, we choose two Ramen Noodle Soups, one with a beef and one with a chicken topping, as well as one Bibimbap with Chicken sate topping and a Kimchi side order.
Drinks and food was served astoundingly quick and the presentation of the food was exceedingly good, despite them having been obviously modified to cater for the European taste and acceptance of spice.
Whilst I understand and accept that such modifications of the foods have to be carried out, especially as most Europeans can’t handle the true spiciness of Korean dishes, I still find it slightly disappointing, that a “native spicy” option is not given, as I expected far more “kick” from the Kimchi.
The portions served are very large and served hot in very attractive cutlery at very reasonable prices.
All in all I can only state that we were very happy with the service, the environment and, especially, with the food served.
This restaurant is highly...
