First of all, the people are so friendly and nice. The food is AWESOME!! I have many dietary restrictions, like I don’t eat onion, coriander, green onions, leek, parsley, ginger…etc. However, they really put efforts and adjust the dishes. And those dishes taste so great!!! Second, the price is very reasonable compared to other fine dining restaurants. I have been some Michelin restaurants in Maastricht, let’s say, they are way over priced and they are not that flexible regarding on my preferences and allergies. The choice is also very limited. Finally, I would give an extra star for the service. One of the staff noticed that my friend didn’t eat the beef served (because she has braces on and it’s a bit too chewy for her), he offered another fish dishes for her. The experience at this restaurant was simply exceptional. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed by the owner, Nigel, who ensures that every detail of your visit is special. The food, prepared by the Chef Justin, was exquisite. We opted for a five-course menu, although there are options to try even more, including dessert, which was truly delightful. Its flavor transported me back to my childhood, and it was a pleasant surprise to taste it with almond milk something I had never tried before.

To accompany our dishes, we followed Nigel’s recommendations and enjoyed three perfectly selected wines. Additionally, the staff takes the time to ask about any dietary restrictions or ingredients you don’t like, which I found very thoughtful.

After reading all the positive reviews, we were very excited to have diner at Le Courage. While we did indeed have a good time, we left the restaurant feeling slightly disappointed by the food. Dining at a fancy, small, set-menu restaurant like this, we were expecting some creativity, but what we ended up eating was pretty much the same, classical menu that you could get anywhere else. It was cooked well, don't get me wrong. It's just not something that's going to surprise you or stick with you, unlike what some people seem to suggest.
