The food is good the buryani was fantastic but the I miss some of the real Indian food tase like butter chicken here was sweety! Indian cuisine consists of a wide variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent. Given the range of diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic groups, and occupations, these cuisines vary substantially from each other and use locally available spices, herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Indian food is also heavily influenced by religion, in particular Hindu, and cultural choices and traditions. Also, Middle Easternand Central Asian influences have occurred on North Indian cuisine from the years of Mughal rule. Indian cuisine is still evolving, as a result of the nation's cultural interactions with other societies.

Historical incidents such as foreign invasions, trade relations, and colonialism have played a role in introducing certain foods to the country. For instance, potato, a staple of the diet in some regions of India, was brought to India by the Portuguese, who also introduced chillies and breadfruit. Indian cuisine has shaped the history of international relations; the spice trade between India and Europe was the primary catalyst for Europe's Age of Discovery. Spices were bought from India and traded around Europe and Asia. Indian cuisine has influenced other cuisines across the world, especially those from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, the British Isles, Fiji, and the Caribbean.

I recommend this place...

Took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get food for 4 people (we only ordered one main dish each). There were 3 tables that arrived after us but received their food before we did.

One table with 3 people that arrived just after us received their starters, main dish, dessert, paid and even left before we got our main dish!

After 1 hour and 10 minutes we asked the waiter who said our food would be ready in 3 minutes and then just ignored our table for another 30 minutes after which our food finally arrived. When it finally arrived, the rice was cold!!! Ridiculous!!!

No apologies or compensation, they told us we should be understanding because there was only one chef there. We didn’t order anything out of the ordinary that would take too long to prepare. It seems they just prioritized the tables with fewer people.

Don’t go there. I would give 0 stars if possible. Not...

Daal tarka was 8/10 Matar paneer; 8/10 Both entrees w as kind of hot..

Rice: they serve yellow with turmeric. Naan and Garlic naan ; 10/10 Raita: 5/10 ( don't make raita with red chillis

Just fyi keep white rice also. And I think raita should be raita less spices..one eats raita to cool down the spices and it was full of red pepper.

Also tarka daal could be improved in taste and presentation..its such a simple recipie..was missing the presentation part as well.need to add cumin and cilantro on top.

Hails from India and visiting from California thought of sharing the suggestions.

Love how the owner lady has such a great aura..was surprised to see a local women speak so good hindi! Best wishes for ur business..add flavor not just spice it up... my 2 cents.

2nd trip

. matar paneer 8/10 Bhindi...

Been here for a weekend dinner while visiting Maastricht. Naan n Pilau rice was nice but we ordered one chicken main course (chicken dopyaza) & paneer one… (dal something). Both the dishes could have been better. How ? Let’s take an example - Chicken Dopyaza is supposed to be a dish with chicken n onions in two forms as hero of dish..all I found was a heavy tomato based sweet/spice gravy with bell peppers n just few chicken cubes. Felt masala was undercooked too. Service was slightly slow but this can be very well ignored given weekend rush. Overall, left us not very satisfied with the food.
