We came into the restaurant excited for some homemade pasta. We ordered bruschetta (see image) for starters, which were cold and the bread didn't seem fresh. With the bruschetta we got balsamic. The balsamic wasn't liquid, more gel-like and couldn't be portioned appropiately, let's not talk about the taste. My Bruschetta came with arugula and herb butter, which was still hard as it was seemed freezer cold. While I was eating, my fork bent. I bent it back but that didn't work really well (also shown in the image). The mains were served all at the same time. The noodles seem to be homemade but didn't seem to be from that day. I had the noodles with pesto which were okay but the pesto tasted like it was bought in the supermarket. The Tagliatelle Salmone and Gnocchi Gorgonzola were eatable. The quality of the dishes was way below our expectations. The staff was okay. As you order per mobile you don't get to talk much with them. The ambience also didn't convince. The tables are positioned tight and there is not much room left. The music stopped almost after every song. Then you got to hear advertising before the next song was played. (We assume they use youtube) Last but not least the price. Apart from our disliking the dishes, never once before did I have to pay 20,50€ for a simple pasta with pesto. For 3 people all together (2 starters, 3 mains, no dessert, 0.5L of wine) we paid over 100€ We wouldn't recommend to eat there. I feel like I wasted quite some money on unsatisfying food and service. Next time we'll get waffles instead :)

I recently dined at Pizzeria Restaurant Tivoli, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The price structure is utterly outrageous, especially when compared to the quality of the food. The price difference between a simple Margherita pizza and any other variety is almost double. For instance, a Margherita costs €12, which is already twice the price you’d pay in Italy. Meanwhile, a Quattro Formaggi pizza jumps to an astonishing €20.50. Adding to the shock, when you request some Olio Piccante, you're charged an additional €2. To make matters worse, if you want to take away your leftovers, they charge another €2 for a takeaway parcel, which comes in a cheap plastic bag instead of a proper carton—completely unacceptable and feels like a licensed theft. On top of the absurd pricing, the service was quite uncomfortable. The waitress seemed overly interested in asking very personal questions, especially when interacting with young girls, which felt very inappropriate and strange. In conclusion, I strongly do not recommend Pizzeria Restaurant Tivoli. The prices are insane, the quality does not justify the cost, and the overall experience left much to be desired. There are far better options in Maastricht where you can get better value for your money.

I had one of the most pleasantly surprising experiences at this restaurant. They served authentic Italian cuisine and created an Italian atmosphere that made me feel like I was in Italy. The food was amazing, with dishes like bruschetta, pizza, pasta, meat, fish, and desserts. I ordered the calzone and it was delicious, with juicy and tasty ingredients that were exactly what I expected. I'm pretty sure they use local spices to enhance the flavor. Overall, I would give the food 5 stars. As I walked inside, I was immediately transported to Italy by the music, language, and design. The ambiance was perfect, and I felt like I was in an Italian restaurant. I would give the restaurant 5 stars for creating such an authentic atmosphere. The service was exceptional. A smile goes a long way, and the staff definitely made a difference. The table was clean and properly arranged, and the service was outstanding. I would give the service 5 stars. Although the prices were a bit higher than average, I don't regret paying them at all. The taste, ambiance, and service were so good that I felt like I was actually dining in Italy. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again. Overall, I would give it 5 stars.

Food was ok but service was very poor. After ordering via the QR code, we waited over an hour for our food. No member of staff came to check on our table and when we queried the status of our order, we were curtly told it was being prepared. Even our drinks took 30 minutes. It was very frustrating to see people who arrived later being served before us. When the food finally arrived (3 queries later) we were finally given some excuses. One was the size of our party (We were a party of 5) and the other was that they had to prepare fresh gnocchi for one of the dishes (I thought it strange for an Italian eatery to run out of pasta). Even with this excuse, we would have been better served of this was advised when we ordered and offered an alternate pasta type that was readily available rather than leave us hungry for 60-90 mins. Especially with the delay in serving our drinks I suspect there was an error in the order management using the QR code and it was missed. The owner/server appeared annoyed when we queried and did not offer an apology or even seem to understand it's not nice to leave hungry customers unattended for over an hour. We were only on a day trip to Maastricht so waiting so long definitely was not part of the itinerary and was the one bad mark...
