Food Poisoning & Aggressive Response – Be Careful!

We had dinner here as a group of four. About seven hours later, one of us developed diarrhea, and by the next morning, two more of us had the same issue. Given the timing and the fact that we don’t live together or share other meals, it was highly likely that the food we ate at this restaurant caused it.

When I reached out to inform the restaurant, the owner’s response was shocking. Instead of acknowledging our concern or checking anything, he immediately denies our experience, saying he didn’t believe us. He even blamed it on something we supposedly ate earlier in the day—even though we don’t live in the same household. On top of that, he was extremely aggressive and impolite throughout the conversation.

A responsible restaurant would at least consider looking into a potential issue, but this place refuses to take any accountability. Be cautious if you decide...

The food is really delicious. However the Dutch guy working there is rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. Made it seem like a burden that he even had to serve us. He didn’t ask us for our order, let alone a drink, for the first 20 minutes we sat. When my friend asked to take away the remainder of her food, she was questioned as to why she wanted to bring it home, and then charged for the takeaway box. In general the food is very very good, slightly more on the expensive side, and the host is simply rude and does much to take away from the otherwise nice atmosphere of the restaurant. We came there today in group of 4 adults and 3 young kids. It took some time for the waitress to take the order. We even needed to call her to come to us and it was not busy at all. Overall the food is delicious but lack of service the whole time. We wanted to split the bill so I asked if I could get the receipt. With the attitude she handed me the receipt in Thai handwritings. It was just enough attitude from this lady the whole time I just didn’t want to argue with her anymore. I just said to her “I can’t read this handwritings. I’m not thai”. She didn’t seem to care.
