Dionysos — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Opa! Outstanding experience tonight at Dionysos. My husband and I had an exceptional time here from start to finish. Our greeting at the door from Costa was warm and sincere and welcoming. The food was fresh, authentic, and really delicious. We started with a tasty Greek salad and a delightful Greek version of bruschetta, followed by the moist and tender mixed grill entree. It was served with rice and vegetables and a tzatziki sauce that’s the best we’ve had. We enjoyed the Greek dessert assortment with our specially prepared coffee. This was probably the best Greek food we’ve had outside of my Yaya’s kitchen. The staff was incredibly attentive and paced the meal beautifully. In addition to Costa’s frequent personal attention, Olga took great care of drinks and other details. Demetri did a great job serving. Costa, Olga, and Demitri are all warm and friendly and wonderful. We could not have had a better time! So happy we discovered Dionysos on our last night in Rotterdam. We highly recommend this...

TLDR; We left with empty stomach after waiting 2h45m for the main dish and salad that never arrived (reservation at 18:00, no food by 20:45). They said we were the only ones who complained that day for having to wait that long and offered no apology 😃

We didn’t receive any updates from the service about the food, and waited there clueless for hours without being offered even water. This made us feel very stressed. On the plus side? We enjoyed the Tsipouro and we didn’t have to pay for leaving hungry, thank you for your hospitality 🇬🇷

Food: Best tyrokafteri and great ‘ntakos’, that’s the only thing we managed to have before our unpleasant departure. Service: Sad. Atmosphere: Good, with live music.

Honestly, Dionysos, happy 40 years anniversary! Maybe we were just the weird ones for not willing to wait 3...

I will be honest food (the few bites of breads and tyrokafteri we had) looked good and atmosphere nice but we were there for three houra and not even the salad came…they had anniversary and the restaurant was full but i was a waitress in a greek restaurant of the same size where we had that much people every weekend and really never someone waited more than 45 min for their food!!!! We are Greeks and all the rest of the clients were Dutch my honest opinion is that they are these kind of people who just want to please their regular Dutch clients and they don’t care about keeping happy the other who might be clients of one time….if you are a Greek person and you think of going don’t they...
