Bar Blink — Restaurant in Rotterdam

My friends and I were on a city trip visiting our Dutch friends, we stumble upon this place by accident and it ended being an amazing surprise. The staff is super friendly and take the time to chat with you, my Dutch friends could connect with the Dutch staff but more amazingly me and my friend who speak French and Spanish were impressed by how many languages one of the staff could speak, made us feels truly special and it helped me some much to understand the menu and concept.

The drinks were nice, they have a selection of drinks that go from basic beers to new interesting local beers. This wide range makes everyone happy. The food was so good, we got recommended to take some of the specials as I understood correctly these changes weekly and let the different chefs try new things. We had the fish, the nectarine salad, a celeriac dish and a moelleux for dessert it all tasted amazing. We had such a fun evening, they have board games and we played all night.

We came back the next day for lunch where they have different dishes for that time of the day. And once again it was amazing, the staff was so happy to see us again and to be honest I was happy to see them too.

This place is perfect for locals and tourists.

It was sad to say goodbye to blink. On my next travel to Rotterdam I will for sure be back. I envy my Dutch friends who can now go there everyday...

We were here to celebrate our sisters birthday and she chose this place specifically for their vegetarian options. Food is very good overall we all enjoyed everything we had. I loved the chicken sandwich and we got two portions of friends to split among the 6 of us. Small desert menu but a little something for everyone. We definitely plan on going back just the two of us. Got a table for 2 without reservation very quickly, on the first weekend in jan 2025. For a bar, the food menú is simple but very delicious fresh food and good portion, we ordered the pork belly and the burger and fries. Affordable. The ambience felt comfortable and warm. Very relaxing to enjoy with family and friends. Didn't feel like a pub. It was early on Saturday and the weather was not nice, but the again we expected rotterdam to be far busier abd louder and it was very quiet all over.
