My companion opted for the Tagliatelle Bolognese, which was rich and hearty, showcasing the kitchen’s commitment to quality ingredients and authentic recipes.

Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. The restaurant’s location near the iconic Cube Houses and Rotterdam Blaak Station makes it easily accessible for both locals and tourists.

De VIP: Our favorite place for celebrations and pizza for over 12 years!

If it were up to our kids, we would eat at De VIP every week – and honestly, we completely understand… and practically do so! For more than 12 years, this has been our go-to spot for delicious, authentic Italian pizzas and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The always friendly staff, with Stefano, Rocco, and their amazing team, make every visit feel like a little celebration.

Our children have practically grown up here since they were born, so we can confidently say we know this place inside and out! At De VIP, everything revolves around Italian hospitality, which means our kids are always the center of attention. Whether it’s a birthday, a great report card, or just a Friday night, they find any excuse to celebrate at their favorite restaurant. And every single time, the team at De VIP makes it a special experience!

Of course, as parents, we sometimes have to step in when the kids get a little too excited – but hey, that’s all part of the lively Italian atmosphere, right? Tonight, it’s time for another celebration, so we’ll be back again. We’re already looking forward to the great food and fun vibes.

This evening we had dinner at "Very Italian Pizza" in Rotterdam. Unfortunately when we got the bill and wanted to pay, we noticed several mistakes on the bill. We kindly asked the staff to change it as we did not order the drinks and foods which were on the bill. The answer of our waiter was simply "No." and he got the manager of this restaurant who had a very unreasonable discussion with us and blamed us about blaming their staff of making mistakes. Our intention was not to have a wild discussion, but simply to change the mistakes on the bill. In the end we were there with 30 people, and it would be only customer friendly of them to do so. The manager got really aggressive and impolite, refused to talk with us and went away.

Besides this very unprofessional incident, the food was more or less fine. The pizza and the pasta was fine, the salads were too small for this price. In the beginning we also needed to wait very long for the drinks.

It might be a reasonable price if you want to enjoy a fast and cheap pizza, however with this kind of customer service we are not...
