30ml Rotterdam Centrum — Restaurant in Rotterdam

After my very satisfying visit at the 30ml cafe in the south of Rotterdam at Zuidplein I wanted to try the location in the centrum closeby.

I came by on a Sunday around 14.00hrs, quite busy and a sign that they close already at 15.00hrs. Like the other location it’s kind of a self service, you order at the bar and you get served on the table.

Employees looked a bit squeezed behind the bar/counter and there were a lot of dirty dishes and plates stapled in the back. Unfortunately there were some technical issues with the order system, so they took the order with good old pen and paper. We paid later when the system was running again.

The cafe has a long shape and is not really wide. Well decorated and cozy. Service was very nice and my cappuccino with oat was served fast. Same for the food. Took overall including ordering 20-30 minutes.

Personally liked the location at zuidplein more because it was bigger and more relaxing to enjoy a Sunday brunch.

Overall good price and quality for a weekend brunch.

To be honest? Disappointing. Context: we just had coffee, no food.

I ordered a big (double) and a small (normal) cappuccino for me and the wife. Total was €9,- something. Place looks great, signing everywhere that they’re coffee toasters etc. So the hype is there, especially for someone who really likes great coffee (like me).

Both cappuccinos took more than 10+ minutes to arrive (the place was almost empty). My big cappuccino had no fluf, just one soupy bowl of milk and coffee. My wife’s cappuccino was as soupy as mine. The taste of the coffee was, mediocre and too sweet. Worst of all, they were almost cold.

Safe to say we probably won’t come back. For a coffee place their coffee was just not good.

Very excited to come here as it served exactly what's I wanted. Eggs, bacon and coffee!

The food was so amazing that I only remembered to take a picture after I started!

The coffee was glorious! Bold and smooth at the same time. Sadly I do not live local as I would happily eat and drink here every morning!

The food was so very tantalising, it tasted exquisite, simply put, just delicious.

The service was great! Very warm, and everything served with a smile. Couldn't have asked for a more...
