Last Saturday, my wife and I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at Vlaamsch Broodhuys on Nieuwe Binnenweg, Rotterdam. The cozy, rustic interior with repurposed wood and tiles made for a warm welcome, complemented by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked sourdough.

I went for the ham and grilled cheese sandwich, which was perfectly crispy with rich, melty cheese, while my wife had a freshly baked scone with clotted cream and jam. Paired with a smooth coffee, it was the perfect start to our day.

Came here for a quick lunch again. The freshness and quality of everything served is immaculate and I can easily recommend this place. The salad tasted amazing, the avocados felt fresh and creamy, the nuts sprinkled all over added a serene crunch and the leafy greens were tasty. The bread was fresh had an interesting taste and alongside the butter, felt delicious to consume. The juice was served fast and was very refreshing. I love this place and will visit again soon.

The food is okay, not as good as in other breakfast places nearby, but decent. Everything is a bit overpriced, but that's the same as in every other breakfast place in Rotterdam, so expected. The main problem is the service. They first forgot to bring us our coffee with the food. We had to remind the waitress twice about it, until they ended up bringing it when we were almost done with the food. After that, we had another issue.
