I think this is the best vegetarian/vegan friendly buffett in Rotterdam and I really liked the taste of everything I've tasted here. All the dishes are labelled optimally with regards to ingredients and allergens etc. On a pure food perspective I'd rate everything food here between 3.5 and 5 out of a score of 5. I have been here a few times but am only getting to review it this time around. All the vegetable dishes even those with similar ingredients taste uniquely different and the texture of everything including Seitan and other meat substitutes is on point. There is a good selection of cold dishes and there are several warm dishes available alongside items like falafel and crispy pieces of fried Bloemkol and more. Toppings range from nuts to Augurk to salad dressing and more. One pleasant surprise for me is that on each visit I find the meat substitutes prepared better than my last visit and this is in line with the improvement in the technology in this area. The prices here are not inexpensive but for the quality I feel fine paying what was asked. A really nice place to eat well prepared food. Keep up the good work and see you soon. Another good experience today. Can't...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant on Sunday at 10 AM for breakfast. The buffet is charged based on weight, and in the morning, the selection consists mostly of cold dishes, including a variety of salads, pancakes, omelets, chocolate mousse, and more. Additionally, they offer bread and soups.
However, the morning service seemed somewhat unprepared. The food items were not labeled, making it difficult to identify each dish, and I would recommend improving this aspect. It also appeared that the staff could benefit from better training or additional support, as there were not enough personnel to efficiently manage all tasks. For instance, the cashier was handling multiple responsibilities, including processing payments and serving coffee. As a result, customers had to retrieve items like sugar or other necessities themselves, as the waitstaff were quite busy.
That said, the black coffee was delicious, and the variety of food, including vegan ice creams, was impressive. With a few improvements in service and organization, this could be an even better...
Read moreRude and snobby cashier. The restaurant is self-serviced buffet. There are two options for serving your food, normal plates and boxes. As there is no instructions anywhere, I opted for the box as I had a small kid with me, so I thought it would be safer. I saw that price is higher when dining-in (instead of takeaway). So when I went to pay for my food, I explained to the cashier I took the box for convenience and I was ready to pay the extra amount for dining in. Initially she told me this is not right and I said I will pay extra, I simply did not want to risk a toddler breaking their plates. She kept being rude and she told me that this is not how they do it there and that I cannot do that next time because "it will be weird for other customers if you eat from a different plate than theirs" (!?!?!) She was very impolite and did not care at all to help me as a customer. There was no other employee around to help so I decided to leave, to which she replied "fine" and did not even greet me goodbye. Too much attitude...
