IF YOU ARE VEGAN DON'T GO IN THIS REASTAURANT!!!
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and utter disgust with this so-called "vegan" dessert I had the misfortune of ordering yesterday from your restaurant. As a committed vegan, I expect restaurants to uphold the integrity of their menu offerings, especially when it comes to catering to specific dietary requirements. However, it appears that your restaurant has failed spectacularly in this regard. I went many times and i've always order this dessert. Yesterday, for be sure it's really vegan I asked to a waitress and she told me that they make it vegan just sometimes. You all are crazy! It's not possible! Cannot happen thinks like this! Imagine my shock and dismay when I discovered that the dessert I ate contained non-vegan ingredients! Not only is this a blatant deception on your part, but it also demonstrates a complete disregard for your customers' dietary preferences and ethical beliefs. Furthermore, the audacity to label a dessert as vegan when it clearly contains animal-derived products is not only deceitful but downright disrespectful to the vegan community. It's apparent that your kitchen staff either lacks basic understanding of veganism or simply couldn't be bothered to ensure the accuracy of the ingredients used.. Allow me to remind you that being vegan is not merely a dietary choice but a principled stance against the exploitation and cruelty inflicted upon animals. I demand an explanation for this unforgivable oversight and a sincere apology for the inconvenience and disappointment caused. Additionally, I strongly urge you to reevaluate your menu labeling practices and take immediate steps to rectify this egregious error to avoid misleading other unsuspecting customers. Of course I'll be sharing my horrendous experience with fellow vegans and social media platforms to caution others against falling victim to your...
Read moreBeing Sunday night and working all day in the house we decided to go out and find a restaurant to eat. We stumbled upon @ironladyrestaurant in Rotterdam. And we will share with you our brutal honesty review with all of you.
The first were two small strips of feta rolled in crispy filo pastry. Lacking tast and love, the sauce being bland and barely noticing the “honey” €11,- is crazy expensive for a small starter plate like this. The white sauce what looks like mayo is a light crème fraîche, wich didn’t do anything to help the flavor along.
The meat was not of quality for that price €29,-, and if you didn’t get a side dish the plate of rib eye would be the only thing that would be your meal for the night (still hungry 😢)The fries was okey and was as a side dish €5,50
Then we get to the other “side dish” … our very sad little plate of asparagus 🫠 with a whopping total price of €10,- you will receive 5 cooked in water asparagus.. with a little bernese sauce. The least they could do when you pay 2€ per little asparagus on this plate is to sauté it in a little butter and salt to give it that full and expensive taste and making you leave the restaurant wondering how they did that, because you will want to try that at home.. but sadly no..
And last but not least the €25,- vegan “burger” that was way to small for the bread it was on, and had that baked just a little to long taste to it making the outside of the burger kind of crunchy in a bad way.
With a total on the bill of € 91,30 we definitely had the feeling that for everything we ordered we were paying to much in balance with the experience we had and what we had served...
Read moreOne of the best steak restaurant in center of Rotterdam, especially the Iron flat steak, better than the Ribeye. The Ribeye has more fat explosion, but the Iron flat steak has more beef flavour to it. The steak was probably first prepared in sous vide style and then grilled as final step so the serving time can be shorten. Only minus is that the grilled garlics were cold from inside so less tasty than when it was grilled and served warm along side the steak. You can clearly taste the fridge coldness inside the garlics.
The price is more expensive than ordering in normal restaurants, and without anything but the steak. You do need to pay extra for like greens or fries, but none the less the steak is still very tasty and worth to try. Maybe a bit too expensive for the average people to spend for lunch, but definitely worth trying.
They are a bit understaffed, but still trying hard and they even give you a cup of free popcorn (freshly made in a popcorn machine), which was great.
From the outside it was hard to see whether this place is open for lunch, because it is bit dark inside and because the tinted windows. Would be nice if they hang up a big OPEN sign outside or a big billboard on the sidewalk. We almost walked past it, if it wasn’t, because we saw on google maps that it was open.
Glad they are doing lunch time again, think not many people knows it, because a couple of times we were facing to a closed door, not sure whether it is because it was understaffed. But now they are open again for lunch time this will be the place to go to when we crave for beef steak. Recommend everyone to try their steaks,...
