Café Restaurant Schlemmer — Restaurant in The Hague

To be honest... went there with social deal but it's been the worst social deal so far (out of like 25). The food.... looked delicious and we were hungry so yeah we ate some, but it was very bland. Started with salad, waited for it 30min, grilled veggies were very cold combined with cold, deep fried cheese that tasted like rubber. Dessert: home made sorbet ice well.... it consisted of some sort of frozen dishwasher soap that was supposed to be coconut, then came the "chocolade sorbet ice" (cheapest chocolate sauce LITTERALY). The waiter tried his best, but kept interrupting us to ask if it tasted good.... well after 5th time u just dont know what to say anymore to stay polite. They have a nice beer garden in the backyard. The staff seemed very attentive and friendly. The reason why I am giving this place only 1 star is because the food experience was not great. I ordered humus and falafel and it basically came with 2 slices of bread covered with raw falafel spread and were topped off with only one cooked falafel on each slice of bread. There were some green leaves and garnishes scattered around the plate. It was extremely difficult to eat this dish as it was very dry, there were no salad dressings or sauces or condiments to accompany the dry bread and raw falafel spread and cooked falafel. I think they forgot to serve humus and some sauces on the side to go with it, or perhaps this is just...

I wanted to serve a coffee in the inner garden you are promoting outside ; no reservation; tables were empty and in front of me an old couple without reservation has beed taken to a table; the waiter was rude enough to tell me that is fully booked and after I say to him it will only take around 20 minutes to serve a coffee, he looked at me and said: if I think again.. I am not going to serve you . Shocking enough to give this place 1 star! This is something that should never happen in the hospitality industry.. you never know who is the client.. and since there was no obvious reason to reject me , I don’t understand...
